Hikari Blushes were a part of one of the Fab Bags. I have seen this brand getting featured on many international blogs/ youtube channels and was quite excited to get my hands on these here in India. Hikari Desire is the blush I like and enjoy even though it looks quite bold in the pan.

Packaging is quite simple. These blushes come in plastic square pans with a transparent lid on the top. The quantity is quite good and the pans are fairly big !

Shades – Hikari Desire is a bright cool toned pink, Sunkissed is a bronze blush. Desire is a good shade for medium – deeper complexions however one needs to assess the need otherwise going overboard with this shade is quite easy. Sunkissed, on the other hand doesn’t show up on me. It has fine shimmer in there which makes it a good bronzer for fair complexions.

Texture & Formula – Hikari Desire Blush has a smooth formula despite of a matte finish. It doesn’t feel powdery or chalky and applies evenly, Blending is also quick and easy. Sunkissed doesn’t how up on me, however due to presence of shimmer it can work as an understated highlighter which is perfect for the daytime.

Pigmentation – Desire is very pigmented and I have to be really careful while applying this blush. A small amount of color adds beautiful pink tone to the cheeks. Key to best application is layering, applying in small quantities till you get desired intensity of color. Sunkissed is not as pigmented as desire and would need layering. It appears quite sheer in the above swatch.

Staying Power – I can get a decent wear time from these, Hikari desire stays on a lot longer than sunkissed because of its bright hues and better formula/ pigmentation.

For me the downside is the price. You can get better or similar formula at much lower price easily.

Overall Thoughts

I am quite enjoying Hikari Desire blush and would wear it this time of the year. It compliments my complexion and doesn’t look too bright once applied. The formula is smooth & easy to blend & apply. If you are looking at a matte blue toned bright pink blush then give this one a shot.
