I usually prefer buying them from strawberrynet.com but this one was decently priced and was easily available at PARCOS. Hence I grabbed it without even trying on my lips “ I never try any lipsticks in store “ , do you ?

Shade – Guerlain Gina Rouge G is described as Bright Golden Red, on my NC 40 skin tone it is warm toned soft orangish red shade with fine golden pearly sheen to it. I see this colour will work on all skin tones easily. And on someone darker than NC 45 it will be not as bright looking as on someone below NC 35 or so but still it is shade worth checking out .

Packaging – Guerlain Rouge G’s are housed in bulky steel bullets with mirror for easy touch ups. It looks chic but not girly. I like the packaging but it is not handy and practical.

Texture & Formula – I adore this formula but they are not consistent overall. This is creamy and easy to glide and doesn’t settle in fine lines but the base is little sheer for my liking; I prefer more pigmented lipsticks.

Pigmentation – It is little sheer in pigmentation and required a little layering,  however it is very pleasing on eyes and soft orange shade to look at. In lip swatch here, I layered it 3 – 4 times back and forth but still it was very light weight on lips and didn’t settle in fine lines.

Staying Power – Guerlain Gina is on little sheerer side and hence is not as long lasting as some shades I previously tried. I get some 4 hours of wear with this and then it fades evenly leaving behind a soft orange tin. Nothing which requires lot of efforts to remove at the end of the day.

Overall Thoughts

I adore Guerlain Rouge G’s a lot and they have some amazing shades in this price range. This is starting range and it goes up to 2850/- to 3350/- INR. If you get a chance then please try some shades and I’m sure you would pick one or two without a doubt. I like GINA but if this is your first GUERLAIN then pls try other shades which are more pigmented and long staying.
