A word on the product:
‘What it is:
An innovative monochromatic-powder eyeshadow that provides four finishes in one compact.
What it does:
Givenchy’s Le Prisme Mono creates made-to-measure results that range from natural to couture and simple to sophisticated. The formula contains atomized pigments that provide vibrant, stay-true color. Blend the four domes together for a single refined shade or use each one separately for a personalized result.’
Shade- Givenchy Le Prisme Mono Eyeshadow Casual Khaki has 4 shades of green ranging from shimmery golden khaki green to matte khaki green. The shade intensity varies.
Packaging- The packaging is luxurious and speaks class. A small black square packaging having Givenchy logo on it. On one side, a mirror is provided and shades at the other side. A very handy brush is provided. The packaging is somewhat sturdy and travel friendly.
Texture & Formula- Givenchy Le Prisme Mono Eyeshadow Casual Khaki is finely milled and a dream to apply. It goes on smoothly on its own or over a base. It is very light weight and blends easily with other textured shadows. The shimmer present is really subtle and gentlest. The shadow does have a bit of fallout but only in the pan and that too when it is rubbed excessively, the fallout doesn’t transfer to lids.
Pigmentation- The shadows are decently pigmented. One swipe provides sheer to medium coverage which can be intensified further. The matte khaki shade is the most pigmented out of all.
Staying Power- Givenchy Le Prisme Mono Eyeshadow Casual Khaki stays for about 6-7 hours over a good primer. When applied over a base (mac paint pot), the staying power does increase to another 1-1.5 hours. It doesn’t crease or fade out and the shimmer effect stays at it is.
I like the shadow and the effect. The packaging is excellent and the best in class. It is luxurious and sturdy .The small applicator provided is of good quality. Givenchy Le Prisme Mono Eyeshadow Casual Khaki is smooth and very easy to work out with. The formula is great and the finish is very subtle. The shade itself is very wearable and can be worn to office as well as for special occasions. However, I would have loved it even more if the intensity of the shades had a bit more diversions. All the shades merge to one. This is not a must have from Givenchy but worth checking out.
