Gerard Cosmetics Color Your Smile Lip Gloss ($24)

I bought couple of products from Gerard Cosmetics last month. Shopping & delivery was smooth and I ended up getting two of their Color Your Smile Lip Glosses – Rose Hill & Nude. I love pinks and neutrals hence my first choice was these colors only.

Packaging – These glosses come in a a tube with a doe foot applicator. The cap has light inside which lights up when you pull the wand out, which makes gloss application quick even if you are in a dimly lit area. Also these glosses have a mirror on them which makes touch ups easy. 

Shades –

Gerard Cosmetics Rose Hill – Take time and smell the Rose Hill. Your favorite makeup artist and YouTube guru Jaclyn Hill designed the perfect rose gloss for the flawless spring pout. Vibrant, sophisticated and endlessly feminine..this is an essential for any lip gloss addict. 

Rose Hill is a rosy pink gloss with coral undertones. It has no shimmer. I love layering it up on my pink/neutral lip colors.

Gerard Cosmetics Nude – NUDE is a fan favorite and the perfect neutral color that enhances a dramatic or everyday look.Color Your Smile Gloss is a creamy and buttery smooth lip concoction featuring collagen peptide technology to hydrate and plump your pout. 

Nude is a perfect neutral shade with pink tones. I like to apply it on matte neutral lipsticks. 

Texture & Formula – Gerard Cosmetics Color Your Smile Lip Gloss have slightly thick consistency. However none of them feel uncomfortably sticky on the lips. Formula gives an illusion of plumper lips and doesn’t let the color settle in the lip lines. Both the lip glosses have moisturizing formula which keeps lips moisturized throughout the wear time. It doesn’t highlight dry patches on the lips.

Pigmentation – As you can see from the swatches above both Rose Hill & Nude are nicely pigmented. I love wearing Rose Hill on it own however Nude is slightly light for me and washes me out if I don’t wear a dark lipstick underneath. Both the shades even out lip color and cover pigmentation. 

Staying Power – These stay on like regular lip glosses – for an hour or until you eat/drink anything.

Overall Thoughts

Gerard Cosmetics Color Your Smile Lip Gloss are good if you are looking for pigmented lip products. The formula of both of these is quite moisturizing and keeps lips comfortable throughout the wear. I find these slightly expensive and would recommend buying during sales/ discounts.
