My sleep patterns are a bit erratic. There are days when I can fall asleep at the blink of the eyes and then there are days when I toss and turn and think to oblivion before getting any sleep.I got the Forest Essentials Stress Relief a year back which did help me to a large extent in calming my nerves/stress and allowing me to get a decent night’s sleep. But there were still those nights when I insomnia got me. It was getting a little too bad a few months back, that’s when I decided to get the Forest Essentials Tranquil Sleep also to see if it works as its counterpart. I am sharing my experience with it today.
Product Claims
Enter a totally relaxed zone where you feel a thousand miles away from the pressures of everyday life as mind and body indulge in the benefits of deep, meditative relaxation to lull you into restful sleep. Tranquil Sleep from Forest Essentials contains pure Essential oils which are well known to dispel anxiety and stress for a sound sleep.
The calming scent of Sandalwood and Geranium are used for their uplifting and clarifying effects on emotional wellness; whereas Nutmeg provides warmth and relaxation. Lavender is known to possess therapeutic constituents which bring you into a natural state of emotional balance to trigger a sound sleep.
Key Ingredients:
Stream distilled Sandalwood Essential Oil, Steam Distilled Geranium Essential oil, Steam Distilled Nutmeg essential oil, Steam Distilled Nutmeg Essential Oil
Directions:
Use on pillow and neck for maximum effect
Packaging – Forest Essentials Tranquil Sleep comes in a thick cylindrical shaped transparent glass bottle with a nozzle to spray and a transparent plastic lid. The packaging is a step up from the previous plastic bottle. Though the glass can break it is a tiny bottle and easy to travel with if needed.
Moreover the previous plastic packaging was prone to leakage if not kept upright (the Stress Relief one I have has that tendency). This on the other hand is quite durable and doesn’t leak even when it’s not kept or stored in upright position.
My Experience
As the instructions go you need to spray Forest Essentials Tranquil Sleep on your pillow and neck. I also like to spray it behind my ears like I do with the stress relief one. This one also holds the same perfume like consistency. But unlike the stress relief the fragrance is not so sharp or strong. Instead it is soft and soothing. It smells very soothingly of Geranium and Lavender. Though I couldn’t smell the sandalwood, I did get a hint of nutmeg. But it wasn’t very strong.
The strongest note is that of the Geranium and the smell of that felt very soothing and relaxing to me. But, the first day I didn’t really feel any effect. I did fall asleep but it took me 2-3 hours. I was disappointed as I had huge expectations from it after using the stress relief one. Nevertheless, I decided to use it a few more times.
After the 3rd use I slowly started feeling the effects. I could drift asleep gradually in half an hour or so. I still don’t know why it didn’t work the first few times, maybe I was anticipating too much or my sense of smell was working a little slow those days. But post that whenever I have used it I have managed to fall asleep within half an hour. I sometimes use it along with the stress relief. And I love that combo.
The combo of these completely relaxes me, soothes me and gives me a relaxed undisturbed sleep. I do recommend it to people who have difficulties falling asleep. And I have a feeling that people will like the fragrance of this one better than the stress relief one.
Forest Essentials Tranquil Sleep is an expensive product, but you only need a tiny amount and that too not on an everyday basis. So it would easily last you a year. Plus peaceful sleep is a precious commodity; I think it’s worth the money.
Forest Essentials Tranquil Sleep (Price Rs. 850 for 10ml)
Overall Thoughts
Forest Essentials Tranquil Sleep is definitely a product I would recommend to people who have difficulty falling asleep. The soothing fragrance would definitely be a plus for this one as I feel it would be more suited to everyone’s taste than the stress relief one. Despite it being expensive, I think it is worth it for a proper night’s sleep is precious.

Nice review. It’s good that Ayurvedic brands are coming up with such things. Rather than taking medicines for sleep this is better and natural.
