Forest Essentials Tejasvi Facial Ubtan Review

Forest Essentials Tejasvi Facial Ubtan (Rs 695 for 50 gms) available at Forest EssentialsForest Essentials Tejasvi Ubtan Review (1)Forest Essentials Tejasvi Milk Ubtan is a powerful exfoliating treatment that stimulates the underlying tissues of the skin. By its revitalizing, refreshing & refining actions, this ‘Ubtan’ helps in restoring the natural glow of the complexion. Its regular usage prevents the occurrence of premature fine lines and keeps the skin hydrated and moist. The natural ingredients of ‘Ubtan’ also improves skin texture and removes tan.”Forest Essentials Tejasvi Ubtan Review (3)When I heard every single person used this product, raving about the results, I couldn’t stop myself to try it and see if it makes any difference to my skin.

How I use it

I mix one spoonful of Ubtan (which is in powder form) with Rose water and make a thick paste. Apply it on my face and massage gently, leave it for 5 minutes and than wash off. I use this ubtan twice a week (Alternate days). It exfoliates skin well without drying it out and leaves it radiant. I find the formula bit abrasive so don’t really use it as a face wash everyday.

My Experience

After using it continuously for 3 weeks I could see slight difference in my skin tone and texture, though nothing too dramatic. Ubtan is quite grainy so entire application and removing part is quite messy, I thought it’s a ready to use mask while purchasing (for some unknown reasons). To save some time, I tried to mix and keep it for 3 days so that I wouldn’t have to do that daily, but then it started smelling foul. Now I mix the amount I need for single use only.Forest Essentials Tejasvi Ubtan Review (2)It exfoliates skin while cleaning it, so one doesn’t need a separate face scrub. I found the particles quite coarse, would advise to rub it on face with a light hand only.

It smells of sandalwood which is quite pleasant. You may find it pricey but then quantity is good and will last for at least 1.6/ 2 months even if used once daily. Though due to its abrasive texture I would recommend it only twice or thrice a week.

Overall Thoughts

A good product with all goodness of ayurvedic ingredients. Continuous use improves skin texture by removing dead cells and makes it glowy. However preparing and removing the ubtan is bit of a task and gets messy which is a biggest drawback for me. Also after sometime it stopped doing much for my complexion (In terms of evening out). I would not repurchase it since I found texture a bit too coarse for my skin and due to the fact that I am more interested in ready-to-use face masks.
