Forest Essentials Pure Aloe Vera Light Hydrating Gel is a blessing in the extreme summers for all skin types and probably even throughout the year for oily skin.

How many times have you heard skin experts telling you; cleansing, toning and moisturizing two times a day is the mantra for good and healthy skin in the longer run. Often in the extreme summers we tend to skip moisturizing our skin which is not the ideal thing to do. But, it is understandable as cream based moisturisers tend to make your skin oily and nothing attracts dirt and dusts more than an oily sticky face. Constant blotting only takes care of the issue temporarily and the purpose of moisturizing is lost. That’s when gel based moisturisers come to play. But most gel based moisturisers are sticky and gloopy and put us off of them.

Product Claims – This light, cool facial gel contains Aloe Vera Juice which has strong soothing and moisture retaining properties, blended with nutrient rich Wheat Germ extract and floral waters. The pure extract from the Aloe Vera plant, is a natural humectant and adds moisture to the skin. It has healing and soothing properties.

Packaging – Nestled in a cute cardboard box, this gel comes in the Forest Essential signature packaging. It is a tub style packaging with a golden lid and a plastic stopper lid inside to protect the product from spilling. Though not an ideal packaging for travelling, it does stay put. Overall I like the luxurious looking packaging all the Forest Essentials products have.

Texture & Fragrance – Forest Essentials Pure Aloe Vera Light Hydrating Gel is transparent and has a Light and fluffy texture. It sinks into the skin immediately and gives it a cooling & calming sensation. Though it is a gel, it is thick in consistency, provides proper moisture to the skin and hydrates without making it oily. It has a very pleasant floral fragrance which is very soothing.

My Experience

I have normal to combination skin. I do not prefer heavy duty moisturizers, especially in the summers and my skin doesn’t need it either. I needed a moisturizer which is light weight, but keeps my skin hydrated and the moisture locked into my skin throughout the day without making my face look greasy. Forest Essentials Pure Aloe Vera Light Hydrating Gel has definitely been that blessing.

It hydrates and plumps up my skin. It sinks into my skin and cools it down. Doesn’t make it oily nor does it make it dry. I find that it makes my skin supple and healthy looking over continuous use. This is perhaps the best moisturiser out there for oily and sensitive skinned beauties. It will not only make your skin moisturized, it will also calm your skin irritations. And as it is, Aloe Vera in the purest form is a boon for acne prone skin. All skin types would love this product. It brings back the bounce in your skin.

Overall Thoughts

I love Forest Essentials Pure Aloe Vera Light Hydrating Gel, for its hydrating, cooling and calming properties. It feels like my skin has taken a drink of cool water once I apply this. It is a product for all skin types. And even men would love this product for their faces, especially after shaving it will calm down the irritated skin. A winner from all aspects according to me.
