Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist Review

Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist (Rs 1475 for 100ml)Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist Review

Before I got into makeup and skincare, my first passion was fragrance.  I love they way a beautiful perfume has the ability to transport you to a different plane, a new place or an exotic locate.  Scent memory has this amazing ability – if I ever wear the same fragrance I wore to college I can almost feel myself walking down those corridors again.  I remember wearing Elizabeth Arden Green Tea on an extended  4 week vacation and now if I ever try to wear it to work it just feels wrong.

I don’t really have a signature scent since I love exploring newer as well as untried vintage perfumes.  I have never really been on board with body mists. I find them too fleeting – like playing a few bars of your favorite song, it starts out great – but then its gone too soon.

The fragrance

Forest Essentials makes some amazing products and I guess I had read so many good reviews about their body mists that I finally bit the bullet with this new exotic sounding fragrance.

I may love perfumes, but I’m no expert in detecting notes – its just that this particular fragrance reminds me more of roses than pomegranate or kerala lime.   At first sniff it is a wonderfully light yet heady fragrance of roses that I can detect.  It is fresh and clean and at the same time has enough body to entice you to go in for a second sniff.  If you sniff hard you can definitely get the citrus tanginess of lime – I don’t really know how they get an iced pomegranate accord, but there is a coolness to the whole feel.

Staying power

I spray Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist liberally all over myself not bothering about just using this on the pulse points.  Since this is more of a summer scent it feels really natural to wear in the hot Mumbai summer.  It does wear off easily though, like most body mists.

Unlike an EDP or EDT there is no really dry down, its the same zesty burst that mellows down and melts away.   You definitely need to refresh this a couple of times in the day.  In fact in a few hours you can use an entirely new fragrance if you choose and this will not clash.

Packaging

It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a spray.  I find this really convenient to travel with since I am really scared to carry around glass bottles.

Overall Thoughts

Like a delicious summer cooler on a lazy hot afternoon, Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist lets you indulge in your  laid back slumber whilst attempting to  infuse you with a burst of energy, just enough for you to get up and make another tall drink. This mist is a iced drink in a perfume bottle.  I spray this an close my eyes and I’m in an old Victorian home enjoying my summer break.

Yes, I love this mist and I’m sure I’m going to get through a lot of bottles of this every summer.
