Favourite Makeup & Beauty Products 2014

2014 was full of experiments and testing. Some products made a permanent place in my regime and some were discarded instantly. After a year of Red lipsticks I started loving neutral shades, after a year of cream foundations I developed interest in powder formulas. So with change in my preferences, products also changed. Here is a round up of all the products I loved and will continue using in 2015 as well –

Makeup

FoundationBobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation & Bobbi Brown Mineral Foundation are my favorite foundations this year. Liquid formula is good for colder months since it doesn’t make skin dry and Mineral Powder is good for warmer months since it doesn’t feel heavy. In drugstore I liked L’Oreal Magic Nude Foundation however finding right shade for me was a challenge, therefore, I mix it with a darker foundation to get my shade.

Concealer – I have been loving Revlon Colorstay Concealer MAC Prolong Wear Concealer NW 35. These two last forever without creasing.

PowderRevlon Photoready Powder was hands down my favorite powder to set makeup. I have hit pan on that.

Highlighter – I was not a highlighter person until Revlon launched Photoready Skinlights & Highlighting Palette  later this year. I have been obsessed with these two and use them most of the time.

Blush – L’Oreal Lucent Magique Blush Fuchsia Flush was the one I reached out for the most in 2014. Its a perfect classy palette for both highlighting & blush.  Sheen on the cheeks without being shimmery. Apart from this I have also been loving Revlon Wine Not Powder Blush because of its sheer formula and beautiful berry color which compliments my complexion.

EyelinerColorbar Just Smokey Kajal in Just Black is what I have been reaching out for both lash and water line. Formula is creamy and long staying. Color itself is intense black sans shimmer.

Mascara – I tried number of mascaras but none of them made it to my favourites this year.

Eyeshadow – I tried and loved Sephora Jumbo Crayon liners because of their creamy formula , intense color payoff and staying power. Also from the same brand Tiramisu has been my favourite go to shade.

Brush –  Sephora Classic Multitasker Brush is what I have been using a lot for cream and powder formulas. It also works nicely as a blush brush.

Lip Colors – L’Oreal Lincoln Rose is the most used and loved lip product of 2014. The color is increadible and so is the formula. Moving on to my current obsession ‘Neutrals” MAC Mystical Lipstick & Milani Power Lip Creamy Cafe are the shades I have used a lot. Apart from these Revlon Matte Balm Standout, Sephora Cream Lip Stain No 4 & Revlon Colorstay Moisture stain Parisian Passion have been used a lot.

Skincare

Serum – Nothing worked for me like Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid did. I am already on my second bottle.

Moisturizers – In creams I am liking Za True White Night Cream & Za Perfect Solutions Moisturizer. Light weight yet very hydrating.

Eye CreamKaya Brighening & Firming Eye Serum worked for me. I was using it before Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi fluid and saw remarkable difference in under-eye darkness.

Exfoliators – None made it to this list this year.

Face MaskHerbalife Skin Purifying Mint & Clay mask is my most loved face mask this year. Smells minty and works amazingly, leaves me with a fresher, cleaner and brighter looking skin after each use.

Sunscreen – Inveda Sunscreen Cream Gel worked for me. Formula is moisturizing without being greasy. It has SPF 50 PA+++

Shower Gel/ ScrubIraya Purifying Neem & Basil Scrubbing shower gel was a wonderful product. Formula is packed with granules which are coarse and work nicely as a body scrub.

Body Butter – Kama Ayurveda Kokum & Almond Body Butter has won my heart because of its light weight not sticky formula and moisturizing properties.

Haircare

Moroccanoil Heat Styling Protection & Moroccanoil Treatment are the two products I just can not stop using.
