Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder Review

I love a good face powder for everyday. All I need a concealer and a powder to look less dead and get ready in 3 minutes or less. I love mineral powders in general and have used a couple of them in past. This time I tried Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder. These powders are available in 5 shades. I chose the two darkest.

Packaging is quite difference. A round pot with a silver cap that has a sponge fitted inside of it. There is a plastic net like cover on the powder from which the powder comes out when you tilt the pot. I didnt’ find the packaging practical as the sponge doesn’t reach the net properly, also it doesn’t blend the powder well. I use a brush instead and swirl it in the pan. It picks products efficiently and buffs that into the skin.

Shades – Like I mentioned these Faces Ultime Pro mineral loose powders are available in 5 shades. I was confused between Honey Beige & Sand Beige. Sand Beige is the darkest available shade which still isn’t dark enough for me. However due to the sheer coverage it blends into the skin without looking ashy. I would have loved to see some dark shades for deeper complexions.

Texture & Formula – Smooth & Finely milled. You dust and blend it on the skin, it just disappears leaving a silky smooth finish behind. I set my undereye concealer with it and it doesn’t cake up. It has just the perfect texture for everyday wear that doesn’t feel heavy. Also I find it comfortable on my dry skin as it doesn’t emphasize dry patches. The formula is non-comedogenic which makes it perfect for acne prone skin as well.

Coverage – I would call it a sheer light coverage product which is perfect for setting BB cream or foundation. I wear it on its own to get an even looking complexion. Since the color is tad light it makes my face appear brighter and healthy.

Staying Power – It stays on me for good 5+ hours. I have worn it on its own as well as over foundation, in both the case it fares well. Though it wouldn’t survive sweaty humid weather.

Overall Thoughts

I am quite enjoying Faces Ultime Pro mineral loose powder and would continue using it for everyday basic makeup. The packaging is a let down as you would need a brush for a perfect application. It is light weight and non-comedogenic which makes it perfect for all skin types.
