Faces Really Rust, Hot Wired Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon Review

Faces has always impressed me with their products and their nail polishes are my favourite. Until recently I have never owned a Faces lipstick and their first lipstick that I bought was from the Go Chic range. I am hooked on to Faces since then. Now after the use of their Lip Crayons I am floating on cloud 9. Read on to know why Faces Really Rust, Hot Wired Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons are a must in your stash.

Packaging- These are crayon pencils with no twist-up mechanism but have to be sharpened with usage. The crayons are colour coded for our convenience. I love how each pencil is almost identical to the lipstick colour. The transparent cap is secure making it travel friendly too. Each pencil comes with a free sharpener.

Shade- Faces Really Rust is a muted orange shade that is not really a rust in my opinion. I actually took it for a rust shade initially but upon usage I found it is an orange sans the brightness. But still it is a very unique colour. On my lips it does not come out very deep, but on pigmented lips this is going to look absolutely gorgeous.

Faces Hot Wired is a very hot pink shade that is quite deep and is the perfect shade for the winters. It belongs to their starry matte range and by starry they mean the lipsticks have fine shimmers in it that is meant to give some shine to the lips. Hot Wired has copper gold shimmers which is not too overpowering and thus is not visible on lips if not seen very minutely. I have tried to catch the shimmers in the hand swatch photographs and my camera did pick up the shimmers well. In the lip swatch the colour looks a bit reddish but in person it is very much pinkish.

Texture & Formula- The lipstick is very creamy and smooth and glides on ever so evenly. There is no question of tugging or pulling, instead you will feel as if you have not applied anything on the lips. It is super comfortable and it does not dry out my lips either. It has a very light, soothing scent that wears off within minutes of application. I recommend a light swipe of a clear balm after 3 hours of wearing as few may face dry lips especially during the winters.

Pigmentation & Finish– Faces Really Rust, Hot Wired Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons are insanely pigmented. Hot Wired being a deeper shade is more pigmented than the other. Just a single swipe will give you a 440 volt of colour coverage. The finish is completely matte just like the powdery matte finish we matte lovers desire. These will cover lip pigmentation in just one swipe.

Staying Power- This lipstick stays like forever! I have had a full course meal with Hot wired on and there was a lot of talking and laughing in between the meals.  After it was over, I checked to find that the colour is still intact, glossy, with a little bit of oil from the food and just a slight fading in the center of the lips. Really Rust did not survive a full meal on me but survived light snacking and drinking.

Overall Thoughts

Faces Really Rust, Hot Wired Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon are revolutionary! With so much raving in the internet about different types of lip crayons these days. I did end up purchasing a handful. And these have to be few of the best I own. I have another shade called Midnight Rose which is an absolute favourite of mine. I could not get off it during the winters! This range is highly recommended for everyone.
