Faces Pinked Out Go Chic Lipstick Review Photos Swatches

Recently I went to my local store to check out the lip crayons that have been recently launched by faces. The SA understood that I am partial towards pink. She made a dig into the tester stash and came out with a handful of pink lipsticks from their different range. Of all those, the Faces Pinked Out shade from Go Chic stole my heart and ran away with it. I just could not stop staring at the hand swatch! I knew I had to get it. The look of triumph on the SA’s face was the last thing I saw before I left the counter! 😛

I am a big fan of Faces lipstick and the Go Chic collection is my best friend in budget. I am a student and hence cannot always reach out for the steeply priced lipsticks. like all fashion geeks I am always on the lookout for my perfect pink lipstick. Needless to say, all these efforts of research has led me to my perfect pink lipstick (which I specifically cannot tell from my stash as I love all the pink lipsticks that I have purchased till date!). Yet the quest is still on.

Product Claims – Get ready for rich long lasting colour in just one swipe. Easy to apply lipstick gives uniform lip colour coverage.

Packaging- The bullet comes in a glossy full black cylindrical casing with a silver band in the middle that has Faces written on it in black. There is a white sticker containing the name and quantity at the back of the lipstick. An outer cardboard casing in black has brand details written on in white which I quite like. A lot of esteemed brands do not include an outer casing which I think they should as it adds completion to the packaging.

Shade- Faces Pinked Out Go Chic Lipstick is a beautiful lavender pink with purple undertones. The colour is not even close to purple but is pink with a slight amount of mauve mixed to it, a lavender pink in every sense. It is cool toned but it complemented my warm tone well. It is perfect for a day-out and is an all-time summer favourite of mine.

College going girls would fall in love with this colour as it is a boon for young lasses. I was looking for a purplish pink as I am not too confident with the colour purple or violet. I did not know that I would find it right here and that too something so budget friendly.

Texture & Formula – It is very creamy and smooth. It glides evenly on the lips without being blotchy or clumpy. Feels like butter on lips and smells like vanilla.

Pigmentation & Finish– The colour is highly pigmented and 2 swipes lend me with intense colour packed application. The finish is creamy and slightly glossy that just looks perfect. It is a bit more purplish than the hand swatch. Don’t be fooled by the bullet colour! It is a lot brighter on the lips but looks a bit dark in the bullet.

Staying Power – Faces Pinked Out Go Chic Lipstick stays for around 2-3 hours on me that too without any meals/snack in between. The staying power is low and I am one of those few people who are famed in her friend circle as someone who has the longest wear time of lipsticks. So if you are not like me, the wear time maybe lesser in your case.

Overall Thoughts

I am smitten by Faces Pinked Out Go Chic Lipstick because of the colour and the healthy shine that it imparts on my lips. Occasionally, I go for creamy lipsticks when I am bored of matte finishes and I guess this lippie gives me the perfect reason to do so. The colour is not very easily available in other brands/range, that too in the budget options so I think you check this love out.
