Faces Glam On Velvet Matte Lipstick Review Swatches Photos

My love for matte lipsticks isn’t ending anytime soon. Firstly because of their longer lasting power and secondly for the non-glossy finish. I like my lipstick to look matte and neat. Recently Faces Glam On Velvet Matte Lipsticks have become my new favourite. Glam On range is known for affordable products and these are also priced decently (not budget product though)

We can’t seem to see our love for these getting any lesser, any soon. Rich, vibrant and long stay colors and enriched with the goodness of Vitamin E, these bullet beauties are an absolute must-have warpaint. Specially formulated to be stable at high temperatures these ones are perfect for the sveltering Indian summers. The most complete lipstick, ever. Period.

Packaging is simple. Black case with gold accents & clear cap. Clear cap lets you see through the shade, which makes it easier for me to pick the shade of my choice. 

Shades – I have 4 of Faces Glam On Velvet Matte Lipsticks.

1. TerraCotta – Medium Orange (It looked pretty dark in shade indicator online). It would be suitable for fair to medium skin tones.
2. Sweet Amber – Peachy Pink Nude. A perfect neutral for medium to deeper complexions. I don’t see it washing me out and looks very pretty.
3. Desert Rose – Dusty Pink , my second favourite from all the 4 shades I have. A beautiful pinky nude shade perfect for medium-deeper complexions. Not too pink , slightly muted.
4. Black Currant – Deep Violet, perfect for this time of the year. Infact this shade would be suitable all year around. Would look good on everyone.

Texture & Formula – Faces Glam On Velvet Matte Lipsticks are supposed to be a matte finish which is what it is. Texture is matte but not crumbly or patchy. It somehow reminds me of Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks but with a better staying power. Formula doesn’t feel drying and stays on comfortably. I infact like how it doesn’t accentuate fine lines on my lips and looks smooth.

The lipsticks glide on easily without tugging and offer a smooth finish. 

Pigmentation – All the shades are quite well pigmented including the lighter ones.

Staying Power – I have worn both the neutrals mostly and get a wear time of over 6 hours without much fading. These survive meals and light snacks easily.

If you are a matte lipstick lover like me then do try Faces Glam On Velvet Matte Lipstick. The texture is smooth & non patchy. Staying power & pigmentation is good too.
