Its raining BB & CC Creams ! As much as I love using them as an alternate to sunscreen, their true meaning keeps on bothering me. Is any of the recent BB cream really works on blemishes in the long run or they are just a re-branding of tinted moisturizers? hmm . Today I am reviewing latest launch from Faces Canada – Correct & Conceal CC Cream.

Faces CC Cream is available in 2 shades – Sand & Natural. It comes in a squeeze tube packaging which is travel friendly and easy to use.

Shade – I have received “Natural”. I am quite pleased that it is yellow toned. It matches me perfectly and blends in nicely. Since it provides light coverage this shade would suit medium to deeper complexions well (NC 40-45)Texture & Formula – Faces CC Cream comes with SPF 20. Texture of it is like a cream, neither thick nor runny. It applies and blends nicely without leaving a white cast. CC Cream is quite moisturizing and I skip using additional moisturizer underneath. However I definitely apply powder to take away excess shine. Despite being a dry skin girl I never liked looking dewy or shiny. So I keep a compact handy and powder my T-Zone on the go.

Coverage – Although it claims to cover blemishes & correct the tone, I don’t see the required amount of coverage to do so. Faces CC Cream provides light coverage, which is good enough for daily usage and once you apply powder on the top complexion definitely looks evened out. However it would’t hide blemishes completely.

The best way to apply it is using patting motions i.e. instead of spreading and blending, pat it on to the skin, that ways coverage is better.Staying Power – It stays on me for good 4-5 hours, with powder on top, staying power increases by an hour or so.

Overall Thoughts

If you are looking for an makeup product that can be worn to work/school/college everyday without looking too made up, try Faces CC Cream. It provides light coverage and evens out complexion a bit. Formula is easy to blend and doesn’t leave a white cast behind. It doesn’t provide a matte/shine-free finish so if you wan’t to mattify it, apply a powder on top.
