How To Use Extra Virgin Olive Oil For Haircare

Hey I am sure everyone of you must have used Extra virgin olive oil in one way or the other. Lots of people use it for preparing salads or other dishes. But i use it on my skin, nails and Haircare for intense and deep moisturizing. I have dry skin/ hair so they need extra moisturizing, so i love to moisturize them with it.

The oil obtained from the first press is known as extra virgin olive oil .It undergoes lesser chemical processes and is considered as the best and the finest quality olive oil. This variety of olive oil also contains high amounts of vitamin E as compared to other versions. Additionally, extra virgin olive oil for hair is also considered most useful. It prevents hair damage, and hair fall; while adding shine and gloss to it. Many people also make use of extra virgin olive oil for skin as it makes the skin supple and smooth.

Olive oil contains natural vitamins such as Vitamin E, Vitamin D, Niacin, and Biotin, all of which are very beneficial for hair growth. Extra Virgin oil is not as fine as its other versions so wouldn’t clog pores.

How I use it on hair
I warm 4 spoons of olive oil and massage my scalp gently with it, leave it overnight and rinse it off with a mild shampoo next day.
For better results wrap a hot towel around your scalp after massage and leave it for 20 mins and then wash it off with a mild shampoo. Using a conditioner is optional.
I sometime mix it with coconut oil (2 spoons olive & 2 spoons of coconut oil) warm it a bit and then apply.

What I observed after following the regime (once in a week)
My hair have become softer, healthier and easy to manage.
Olive oil helps in hair growth and restoring the moisture. It treats thinning of hair and prevents further hair loss.
The only con is that your hair might look flat even after shampooing them …

How I use it on my skin
I gently massage it on my driest parts of body like elbow, knee & legs in the night. I have seen a lot of difference in a month of daily application. It makes skin soft and glowy.
I sometimes use it to remove waterproof eyeliners. Pour 3-4 drops of it on a cotton ball, apply it on the eyelashes, wait for 10 secs and wipe it off with the same cotton. Your waterproof liner is gone!!!
Regular usage of it on eyelashes (gently massaging) has claimed to improve the thickness of eyelashes and treating them of any damage caused due to regular application of makeup. So even after usage of mascara daily it will help them grow/ stay soft.

Olive oil has been very beneficial for me and I haven’t seen any side-effects so far (using it for more than a year now). I would recommend people with dry skin to use it too. Choice is their whether they want to use it on hair or skin.

I will certainly not benefit if you have oily skin.

Its cheap and natural. So why don’t you people give it a shot…
