Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Gel Liner Onyx Review

I am a big fan of gel liners. I have super sensitive eyes and apart from the MAC gel liner, none suits me as it gives me burning sensation if it enters the eye. I picked up the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Gel Liner Onyx a year back and I totally fell in love with it.Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Gel Liner Onyx Review

About the product:

Silky smooth color that lasts all day—up to 15 hours. Gel-based formula creates a precise line every time with a soft satin finish. For a smudged effect, blend before it sets. Brush included.

Packaging – It has a packaging similar to the MAC one. Simple, transparent glass tub. It also comes with a tiny brush that can be use for travel but performance wise I found it difficult to apply so I threw it away.

Texture & formula – Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Gel Liner Onyx has a very creamy texture, similar to the MAC gel liner. It glides on smoothly on the lids.

Pigmentation – The gel liner has a rich dark black color and is completely matte, just like the MAC gel liner. It is better than MAC in terms of pigmentation though.

Staying Power – I have worn it for more than 7-8 hours and it stays put as it is waterproof. It does not irritate my lids or my waterline but if the waterline is too watery, it does run down a bit. It can also be used for quick smokey eye look and lasts really long. I usually set my eyeliner with kajal but with this, it is not at all needed.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Gel Liner Onyx is priced at Rs 1850 available at nykaa.com

Overall Thoughts:

My search for the perfect gel liner for sensitive eyes finally ended and I can vouch for the fact that it does not sting, stays really long, does not dry up quickly and one pot lasts 6 -8 months  if used daily so worth the price. Much much better than MAC  or Maybelline gel liner.

Rating: 4.5/5 ( I wish it came with a better brush)
