Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip gloss Frivolous Pink Sparkle (Rs 1900 approx for 6ml) available at Estee Lauder stores
Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipglosses are created by Tom Peaheux and come in three finishes, Shine, Shimmer and Sparkle. Estee Lauder describes the Sparkle finish as “Super high-shine fused with high-powered metallic sparkle for the most dramatic look. I picked this up on impulse from the Estee Lauder counter and have been using it for a while now.
Shade – Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip gloss Frivolous Pink Sparkle is a beautiful light pink lip gloss with a ton of micro shimmer particles. In the tube, the gloss looks baby pink and the sparkles change colour depending on the angle you look at them. There is a definite gold sheen that you can see as you turn the tube around.
On the lips the micro shimmer just enhances the overall effect of the gloss making it look super lustrous.
Texture and formula – As with all Estee Lauder products, this is a very hydrating gloss. It feels wonderfully luxe on the lips and is not at all sticky. Even after the gloss has worn off completely, I can feel my lips are still moisturised. There is a very faint fruity fragrance that I can barely detect when I wear it. There is also a really faint, almost not there taste – fruity sweet.
Pigmentation – Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip gloss Frivolous Pink Sparkle is pretty sheer and if you use only one layer then it looks rather uneventful. It does however give a very nice finished sophisticated look because the shimmer makes it more special than just a plain gloss. As you layer on more, the colour does come through and it looks really beautiful. The shimmer looks cool pink most of the time but there is a holographic flame somewhere and it does morph into other colours every once in a while.
Staying power – This lasts only a couple of hours on me. One cup of coffee and this is almost all gone, just the shimmers show on the lips, that is, if you look really close.
I really wish this would last a wee bit longer on my lips.
Overall Thoughts:
Personally, I love Estee Lauder Pure Color Lip gloss Frivolous Pink Sparkle. Some may think it is a little too plain for the high price tag, but it is simplicity executed to perfection. Yes, you do need to reapply through the day, but then the packaging is so gorgeous, that you don’t mind plucking it out of your bag to reapply
