Estee Lauder Irrepressible Pure Color Envy Matte Lipstick Review

Who doesn’t love a good matte formula. A formula that doesn’t dry out lips and at the same time stays on for a long time. I have tried Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Rouge range and loved it to bits. Everything from the packaging to finish speaks class. This time I chose Estee Lauder Irrepressible (120) Pure Color Envy Matte Lipstick, which is a matte formula. I have been testing it out for sometime now and thought of sharing my views on it .

Estee Lauder Irrepressible (120) Pure Color Envy Matte Lipstick (Rs 2450 approx)

Creamy. Matte. Intense. Pout-provoking. Saturates lips with undeniably daring matte color—in one stroke. Lightweight, ultra-creamy formula glides on effortlessly, covers evenly. Sensually soft and smooth, luxuriously comfortable. The lipstick bullet is shaped to sculpt the curves of your lips. The case feels like luxury in your hands. And with one click, case closed.

Packaging is classy. Blue case with gold accents. I love how heavy and sturdy it feels in hands. Also the magnetic cap doesn’t come off even if you have thrown it carelessly in your handbag. The shade name is written on the bottom.

Shade – Estee Lauder Irrepressible is a deep brick red. Not the kind of shade I generally wear. I am more of a cool toned red lover, however the shade flatters my complexion very well. This is the kind of shade Indian women love to wear, deeper reds. This shade would compliment all skintones.

Texture & Formula – When someone says matte, dry hard to work formula crosses my mind. But to my surprise Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Lipstick has such a lovely texture. It glides on the lips without any efforts and looks quite creamy initially. After a couple of minutes or half an hour it sets as a matte lipstick. Formula is luxe and feels amazing. I have forever dry lips and matte lipsticks make the case worse, but not this one.

I generally use lip liner with dark lipsticks since the bleeding or feathering is much more visible with darker shades. Whether you use lip liner or not the formula doesn’t feather. Which is another win in my opinion. It doesn’t settle into lip lines and stays comfortably for a long time.

Pigmentation – Opaque in single swipe. No layering is required, which is what I enjoy the most with Estee Lauder lipsticks. They are worth your hard earned money.

Staying Power – On me Estee Lauder Irrepressible stays for good 6+ hours with some fading from the inner part of the lips.

If you are looking for a deep creamy – matte red do try Estee Lauder Irrepressible Pure Color Envy Matte Lipstick. The shade is perfect for weddings, and would suit all skintones. I love the creamy matte formula as it is comfortable and long wearing. Pigmentation is excellent.
