Summers come and I dig out all the powder product base makeup products I have. Entire last year I used Bobbi Brown Mineral Foundation and loved it to the core, but since it was almost over I decided to pick another one. Packaging is Estee Lauders’s signature – Blue & Gold. It looks classy and feels light weight. Comes with a mirror and sponge applicator.

Shade – I was matched with Tawny, which will go with NC42-44 skintone. Make sure to get a perfect match or else this powder will look ashy on dark/pigmented areas. I go light handed around my mouth since its darker than rest of my face. Tawny has quite evident yellow tones hence it matches and blends into my skin seamlessly.

Texture & Formula – Texture of this powder is smooth and silky. It blends into the skin and gives a natural yet brighter finish. I love using for everyday purpose since its easier to apply and stays in place for a long time. Estee Lauder Double Wear Powder Foundation doesn’t look powdery or cakey whatsoever , only thing you have to remember is to moisturise face well before applying it. I am sure this formula will work equally well for combination/ oily skin. The product offers bit of sun protection , it comes with SPF 10.

Coverage – You can build the coverage , apply it sheer or layer up for more light to medium coverage. I wouldn’t call it a medium coverage foundation as the brand claims.

Staying Power – Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Powder Makeup stays on me for good 7+ hours. It fades away from my T-Zone sooner than rest of the face.
