Essence Fix & Matte! Translucent Loose Powder (Rs 390)
Term “Loose Powder” has always fascinated me and I wanted to get my hands on “The Infamous” MUFE HD Powder, but Alas, its not available in India. Inglot & MAC have loose powders but I was looking for a cheaper alternative and my search ended on Essence Fix & Matte! Translucent Loose Powder. 
About The Product
if you prefer pressed powder, this fine, compact powder is for you! it can be applied above foundation to mattify your skin and set your make-up. for a matt, natural and smooth complexion. it’s perfect when you’re out and about with your girls!
Essence Fix & Matte! Translucent Loose Powder comes in a plastic tub with a sifter, and this time I made sure not to remove the sticker that covers the holes. Instead I removed it only from one side exposing 2 holes, and believe me that is all you need to get desired quantity of product and avoid mess.
Since Essence Fix & Matte! Translucent Loose Powder is “translucent”, it does looks like a chalk powder, gladly it doesn’t feel like that. I wouldn’t say its the best softest finely milled powder I have ever touched, however considering the price tag it comes with, I can overlook slight flaw in the product’s texture.
I have dry skin but that turns shiny during summers, and no matter how much people say that ‘Glowing” skin is in during summers, I can’t bear the sight of shiny face. I always use a powder to mattify my face. I use Essence Fix & Matte! Translucent Loose Powder over my foundation and it does take care of the shine, though temporarily.
This is how it looks when applied sparingly, I need another layer to take the shine away completely. I have applied Bobbi Brown Long Wear Compact Foundation and Deborah Milano Glossissimo Lip Gloss No 10
Formula doesn’t keep the shine away through out the day. Also when I sweat it deposits as a white residue around my mouth and that looks gross. However unlike other translucent powders it doesn’t leave a white cast in case of flash photography.
Overall Thoughts
If you have oily skin and looking for a loose powder that can keep shine at bay , Essence Fix & Matte! Translucent Loose Powder will disappoint you. Texture is not very soft and feels slightly crude. The product photographs well and is good for people on budget.

This one seem quite average Shalini. You should try the Kryolan Translucent Loose Powder, I got a tub of 20gm for Rs.400 ! Its really good for mattifying my combination skin and doesn’t leave a white cast in photos
