Shade – Essence Blush Up! blushes are avaible in 2 shades – Pinky Flow & Heatwave. Pinky Flow is a cool toned pink ombre blush. It looks quite bright in the pan however due to its “semi-translucent texture” it doesn’t show up nicely on my skintone. It needs layering to show up. This color would be apt of fair to medium skintones.

Texture & Formula – Pinky Flow has a smooth texture. Formula is non-chalky that blends & applies easily. I have to layer it up 2-3 times for the color to show up, even then the color hardly shows up. I like this blush for its formula and finish , there are no fall outs whatsoever.

Pigmentation – The brand has called it a “semi-translucent texture” which means sheer (in my opinion), which is true. The product needs layering on deeper skintones. On lighter complexions this shade would look pretty gorgeous and natural. The shimmers present in the formula work as a highlighter as well and give that subtle glow without looking too shiny.

Staying Power – Essence Blush Up! Powder Blush Pinky Flow stays on for 3-4 hours fading gradually.

Overall Thoughts

A pretty Ombre Blush which is light on pocket. Essence Blush Up! Powder Blush Pinky Flow is a great shade and formula if you are light-medium skintone. I am surely picking the second color available in the range and see if it works for me or not.
