Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Foundation (Rs 1900 for 30 ml) I am presently loving dewy finish foundation and wanted to buy Clarins Skin Illusion Foundation but it was out of stock. So,I went ahead and bought this beauty.
A word from Elizabeth Arden- ‘A lightweight, oil-free, multi-benefit formula that gives skin a firmer, smoother look and feel. Reflects light to soften the look of fine lines and has SPF 8 to shield from sun damage. ‘
Packaging – Elizabeth Arden is considered as a luxury brand but the packaging of the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Foundation is not very appealing. It has a glass packaging with plastic pump dispenser. Though, the dispenser is very receptive to touch and the packaging is simple, I really wish for a better ,more classy look.
Texture & Formula – I love the texture and feel of the foundation. It is neither very thick nor runny but it blends like a dream. I usually blend Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Foundation with hands and then use a sponge for a finished look. It never leaves streaky lines or patches.
It has spf 8 which is quite low if you don’t like wearing sunscreen underneath base makeup. But I prefer foundation with low spf as they photograph beautifully in flash.
The formula is light weight and very comfortable. It imparts semi-matte finish initially which transforms to dewy finish after few hours. It has mild delicate fragrance which is pleasant and goes away after few minutes of application.
Coverage/Pigmentation – Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish foundation provides light coverage but buildable to medium with 2 layers. However, it is not a full coverage foundation. Minor blemishes and redness can be covered with this but major skin problems need concealer.
Staying Power – It stays for around 7-8 hours on my combination-oily skin but I need to blot my face after 4 hours as it gets a bit shiny.
Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Foundation is my first ever base product from Elizabeth Arden and I am highly impressed by it. It offers very comfortable, medium coverage and dewy finish. The formula is great and it did not break me out. This is more of a winter wear base as it is hydrating and doesn’t accentuate flaky skin. It photographs beautifully too.
The only con for me is the dull packaging other than that this is a highly recommended foundation for those who prefer dewy finish foundation.
