Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick Rosy Shimmer (Quantity: 3.5 gm.) Price: $20 
Shimmers are not my cup of tea, or at least, so I thought. That myth was busted when I bought this color, after falling in love with it quite desperately after swatching it the other day. Elizabeth Arden has a beautiful set of shades in the color intrigue effects segment of theirs, and this one is a fantastic shade that really suited my skin tone, so I decided to pick this beauty up.
Packaging: A black cardboard casing holds a black and silver lipstick bullet, very simply and tastefully done, if I may say so. The packaging has the famous Elizabeth Arden logo on top of it, while the shade name is written in the bottom. It is travel-friendly, and has not opened or melted, although I have taken this in my purse and ran a few times for errands.
Texture & Formula : I am not a big fan of shimmers, so the fact that this color has shimmers was slightly worrying. However, the color was tempting enough for me to follow my gut instinct and pick it up. The color is a beautiful shade of rose-pink with a good bit of shimmers. The formula glides on my lips easily, and does not tug at all. The other good news is, the lipstick does not bleed or flake. That said, I am becoming a steady fan of wearing this color during the day. It’s not over the top, does not have any taste. It does have a faint toffee-like smell, but I don’t mind that at all! It’s quite well pigmented and goes opaque with one swipe quite easily.
Staying Power: the staying power of the lipstick is pretty impressive. On my lips, this color stays easily for 4-5 hours without eating and/or drinking. I have seen that the shimmers do not dry out my lips or settle visibly on my lip lines, so yes, that is a big tick mark to the right direction for me. It does have the tendency to dry out lips very slightly, so using a balm before application is a good idea. It goes off with cleanser, but, the faint shimmers will stay on your lips until you really remove it all with a makeup remover.
