ELF Baked Blush Rich Rose ( $ 3 for 6g) available at iherb“The soft and shimmering color of our Baked Blush creates a natural healthy glow. Baked in an oven, these blushes offer rich pigmentation for a beautiful effect. The long-lasting formula provides a gorgeous, smooth and even application. Infused with active key ingredients Jojoba, Rose, Sunflower, Apricot and Grape to nourish and hydrate the skin. Apply this shimmering color dry for sheer pigmentation, or use a damp brush or sponge for a more vibrant effect.”
ELF Baked Blushes come in 4 shades – Peachy Cheeky, Pinktastic, Passion Pink & Rich Rose. Check details here
Shade – ELF Baked Blush Rich Rose is a Brown shade with coral veins & golden shimmers. When I started using at first, all I used to get was gold shimmer all over my face. Once you get rid of the gold over spray on the top of the blush, the color beneath is rich and beautiful ! Rich Rose would look good on all complexions. Its the darkest shade available.Texture & Formula – Like all baked blushes Rich Rose is also pretty shimmery. But as I mentioned shimmer gets subtle once you get rid of the over spray (after couple of usages). You can dust the blush lightly with a clean blush untill you start seeing lesser golden flakes. ELF Baked Blush Rich Rose goes on smoothly, blends evenly and gives rich color in single swipe. These are said to be cheaper dupes for MAC Mineralize skin finishes. These blushes can be applied wet and I have tried that also. Upon applying wet the shimmer looks subtle and color gets deeper. However, my preferred way of applying it is dry.
Pigmentation – ELF Baked Blush Rich Rose is superbly pigmented. One swipe is all I need for the color show up on me. I am not a huge fan of baked blushes since they either have frost finish or are too shimmery for my taste, but ELF Baked Blush Rich Rose has subtle shimmer and beautiful color payoff.
Staying Power – ELF Baked Blush Rich Rose stays on me for good 6 hours leaving golden shimmers behind.
Negative points
- Availability
- Some might find shimmers too much for their liking.
Overall Thoughts
I liked ELF Baked Blush Rich Rose for its color payoff and smooth texture. The golden shimmer is not overpowering and blends to give a highlighted look. However once the blush starts fading I see shimmers staying behind and travelling across the face, which is the only thing that keeps me from buying baked blushes. This is the darkest shade and I would really recommend it.

P.S. I have applied Colorbar BB Cream & Clinique Chubby Stick Chunky Cherry.
