The Body Shop Drops of Youth Fresh Emulsion & Exfoliating Liquid Peel Review

The body shop has extended its Drops Of Youth skincare line and added two more products – Drops of Youth Exfoliating Liquid Peel & Youth Fresh Emulsion. The line is focused on anti ageing and has a Bouncy Sleeping mask as well which I tried long ago. The range claims to smoothen fine lines and work on ageing skin. I have tested both these products for some time and here are my thoughts – The Body Shop Drops of Youth Exfoliating Liquid Peel & Fresh Emulsion Review

Drops Of Youth range has this soothing green coloured packaging. I love colourful packagings.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Exfoliating Liquid Peel (Rs 1995 for 145 ml)

Like the drops of light liquid peel, Drops of Youth Exfoliating Liquid Peel comes in a pump bottle. Both have to be used the same way. Take twice a pea size amount on your palm and massage gently on dry face. This revolutionary gel-to-peel leaves skin clean and purified from the day’s pollutants. Continued use will leave a fresh, smoother and more luminous youthful-looking skin.

The peel works on dead skin cells and cleans the surface immediately. I like how my skin immediately feels smoother and softer. After using it for more than 2 weeks I can definitely see how smooth my skin has become. The peel is a great alternative to face scrubs that might damage the skin if used too harshly. It has a soothing scent. The Body Shop Drops of Youth Exfoliating Liquid Peel & Youth Fresh Emulsion Review

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Exfoliating Liquid Peel & Youth Fresh Emulsion Review

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Fresh Emulsion SPF 20 PA++ (Rs 2295 for 50 ml)

Drops of Youth Youth Fresh Emulsion Anti-Pollution SPF20 PA +++ helps protect the skin from pollution and UV rays in order to counteract the appearance of aging. This emulsion feels light on the skin and can be used either alone or with your daily moisturiser. Apply in the morning after the skin is cleansed.

Now I love moisturisers with SPF, the higher the better. And when you are using products on the skin that take fasten up the regeneration process than protecting it from sun rays is most important. I have dry skin and being someone in early 30s, I have seen it acting strangely. It has become very sensitive and dry, also it breakouts if the cream is too thick or heavy. So I try to apply water based or gel like moisturisers, preferably one with SPF to avoid additional layer of sunscreen. The Body Shop Drops of Youth Exfoliating Liquid Peel & Youth Fresh Emulsion Review

Drops OF Youth Fresh Emulsion has a gel almost serum like texture and it moisturises without being heavy or greasy. The spf content is enough if you stay indoors but make sure to apply a sunscreen with higher spf if you step out in the sun ( spf 30 or more).

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Exfoliating Liquid Peel & Youth Fresh Emulsion are available online & in stores

These kind of fancy products are sure attractive. I will choose Innisfree over this for the price.
