#DovePlay Event – A Play Date with Dove!

A couple of weeks back I was fortunate enough to be invited by Dove for a “Play” date.  It sounded pretty amazing so I went in expecting a lot of fun and games, after all the caption said it all.  But was I in for a super surprise! 10014903_10152118094697883_1788330819995371830_nThere was unending fun, games, dancing, cocktails and delectable food – the whole nine yards.  I could never have anticipated the scale and grandeur of what happened that afternoon – mindboggling, magical and ultimately a lots and lots of PLAY!

Zumba, cocktail making and giant jigsaw puzzles!  It doesn’t get much better than this.

Dove invites us to play with our hair to our hearts desire while it will take care of the damage.  Focusing on the concept of all play, we had a blast with the Dove team.  Over a hundred bloggers, contest winners and enthusiasts were broken down into teams.  The smell of competition was in the air. 10364091_10152118096482883_1483947337406848434_nPlay

What I loved about the event was there was no hard sell and presentations on the product, Dove wanted us to have a great time, play with our hair and have fun doing so.  No boring speeches, no long drawn discussions, just a feel of what its like to truly let your hair down and enjoy.  And yes, about a 100 plus gorgeous women bloggers all dressed in white… truly magical.

We were welcomed with wine and cheese, and kicked off the event with a super high energy group  zumba !  We were then broken into teams and I got to meet some really amazing fellow bloggers.  Our teams took on the competitions and we were all taken back to our youth.

???????????????????????????????My group had a amazing set of girls who I got to know really well by the end of the evening.  We started out by winning the first fun game, a giant jigsaw.  Yes, there was a lot of screaming, major confusion and fun.

The next game was tossing the white “dove” balls from a pit of multicolored balls into a bucket held by one of your team members.  A little bit of skill, a lot of strategy screaming and again a lot of play.   A round of hoola hoops was great to watch, I honestly had no skills in that arena!

The last  round was doing each others’ hair based on a photo instructions given to us.  I loved the braid made for me by my team members, looked very Grecian goddess! 😉

At this end of all this play, our hair was sweaty and were tired, so Dove Salon treated us to a hair makeover.  I felt completely pampered and special. The highlight of the evening for me was a cocktail making contest.  I didn’t win, but sure had fun trying. The winning team was announced as we dined on scrumptious food.  Unfortunately it wasn’t my team that won, but we really took the concept of Play seriously  😉  😉 10363980_10152118111947883_684049968790930795_nDove Damage Solutions Intense Repair

Dove Intense Repair Shampoo contains Keratin Actives that go deep within, to help rebuild damaged hair at the cellular level*. It makes your hair beautifully smooth, strong and resilient to damage

I couldn’t wait to try the Dove Damage Solutions Intense Repair shampoo and conditioner that I got yesterday.  I know, a single use is too soon to pen down a review, but I must say that this morning my hair feels soft and healthy.  My normally frizzy and colour treated hair needs a lot of product to keep it looking neat.  After one use of Dove, my tresses are feeling luscious, my curls are in place and the fly always are gone.  Bonus – I love the gentle fragrance.

I’ve always been a snob when it comes to hair care, using only the very high end luxury brands.  I definitely love Dove and its going to be part of my routine rotation from now on.

Overall Thoughts

Can’t wait to play with my hair more – if Dove can treat the damage, sign me on!
