Diana Of London Raspberry 2000 Kisses Lipstick Review

Summers are taking a toll on we Indians and it becomes a huge task for we ladies to keep our makeup sweat proof to last all day long without touchups, don’t we? And in my quest to find a smudge proof lipstick I ended up finding this Diana Of London Raspberry 2000 Kisses online. It was a liquid matte transfer proof formula so had to give a try. As always, with no swatches, I randomly ordered this raspberry shade online! How it faired for me, let’s find out.

PRODUCT CLAIMS

  • An amazing lip color in a liquid form with matte iridescent & metallic effects assures long lasting make up results. The creamy soft velvety texture is light and comfortable. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, the non-transfer lip color allows perception in every occasion.

Packaging  – Packaging is simple, lightweight and travel friendly. Nothing fancy. This liquid lipstick houses in a transparent plastic tube reflecting the shade, with metallic blue twist up cap with long wand applicator attached. The applicator is soft and ideal for even application. Details are printed on the tube in silver with shade name on base of the tube.

Shade  – There are 40 shades available across all possible color lines so one can easily spot their favorite one. This particular raspberry shade will suit fair to medium skin tones and a perfect nude color for dark beauties. It’s a plum shade with brown undertones to it, completely matte finish and is quite a rage these days. Perfect for daily wear and office goers.

Formula & Texture – It is soft and creamy in consistency when applied but dries and sets into a soft matte finish in few seconds. It spreads evenly without being patchy. The formula smells a bit weird but it vanes off within a minute.  When applied it spreads as a very thin paint like layer and this makes it lightweight. Despite being matte it’s still forgiving on the lips as it is hydrating though does accentuates fine lines a tad bit. The best thing I like about the formula is that it is extremely long lasting. Once you apply it and let it set nothing can budge it. It didn’t move at all after me having meals and splashed water onto my face.

Pigmentation – Diana Of London Raspberry 2000 Kisses lip stains are quite pigmented and one swipe gives good color payoff. Even my pigmentation of lips was covered with single swipe 🙂 . After 7 hours it starts wearing off but evenly without being patchy.

Staying power – Lasting power is impressive. It lasted me for good 7 hours despite having light meals after that there is a little fading but it’s not uneven or ugly at all. Reapplication is hassle-free though.

Application & Removal – I personally recommend exfoliating and moisturizing lips before putting up any matte lipstick as it helps keeping you at ease for rest of the day.

For a perfect finish, outline your lips with Diana lip liner selecting a shade similar to the lipstick shade chosen and fill in gently with 2000 kisses wonderful lipstick.

  • Allow at least 4 – 5 minutes drying time after application for stability.
  • For a more gorgeous effect use Diana Extreme shine lip gloss over lipstick.

It’s a little pain removing it off. I take it off after applying olive oil or Vaseline for few seconds and then wipe off with tissue.

Overall Thoughts

I quite liked Diana Of London Raspberry 2000 Kisses and it’s a good option when you have to attend long functions and might not get time for touch ups or even for office goers as it is perfect for 9 to 5. Shade selection is wide from Reds to Browns, pinks and Purples. Lightweight transfer and water proof. Priced decently for quantity is 8 ml and would last long.

I wish I could get them offline too as it’s a gamble choosing shades online. I totally recommend it!

Overall Rating: 4/5
