Dessange Paris, a French luxury grooming brand has opened its doors in Mumbai at two locations, Bandra and Kemps Corner.  In line with the current humid hot weather, they are showcasing their Butter Mask experience, targeted at “Taming the Frizz”

I’ll let you onto a little secret, I don’t fancy visiting the salon that often.  The hour plus long rituals get me bored and irritable.  Yes, I know that’s exactly the opposite of what most women like, to be pampered endlessly.   Anyway, when I discovered that this treatment was only 30 to 45 minutes, I was sold. 

My Experience

Dessange Paris has a lovely place at Kemps Corner.  They have a full fledged luxury set up with different areas for hair, skin and spa treatments.

My stylist for the day, was the lovely Zeenia Khan. After helping me into the luxurious kimono, she then discussed the condition of my hair asking for specific problems and concerns.

She immediately noticed that my hair was over treated and dry but there was some silicone residue from using too many silicone based shampoos.  Residue that I earlier mistook for dandruff!  Who’d have thought!

Zeenia then used the Phytodess Rinse off Clay bath for irritated scalp on my roots.  After some massaging the clay bath was rinsed off.   She then used the Phytodess Argan Oil Mask for rough rebellious hair, chosen specially for to suit my hair.  A heavier mask would have weighed down my hair considerably.  The mask was applied through the hair and left on with a hot steam towel.   The mask was finally rinsed off and my hair dried in a really flattering style.

3 days later, I can still feel my hair is softer and easier to run my hands through.   I have washed it in this much time as well.

Dessange has a whole line up of their hair products.  Along with this they also stock Thalgo, Kerastase, L’Oreal as well as their own make up range.  I was really impressed to see the fully stocked up products.  What made this place special was the staff knowledge.  I loved the experience so much, that I purchased the clay bath as well as the mask. 

Dessange has a full make up range, which I didn’t have the time to try out but I hear their mascara and foundations are the stars of their range.

Overall Thoughts

An express feel good for your hair.  I am so sure I am going to frequent this place again for more treatments for my hair.
