Deborah Milano 2 in 1 Long Lasting Creamy Eyeshadow (Rs 450)Â What Deborah Milano Says
Enriched with natural waxes and silicone derivatives that impart incomparable creaminess, the colour is dazzlingly deep and lasting, and simply refuses to crease or fade for up to an amazing 10 hours*. Spherical powder particles lend a silky soft feel and ensure that the shadow blends in easily and comfortably. Illuminating pears are an added bonus for a touch of spectacular radiance.
*Water resistant. It comes in a glass pot with a dome shaped lid. Packaging is small and cute. It doesn’t feel bulky like Maybelline color tattoo eyeshadows. I have got shade 1.
Shade – No 1 is a beautiful champagne color eyeshadow. I chose this over other 5 shades because I needed a light base so that it could work well under most of the colors. It can be worn alone too, basically its meant to be worn alone its 2 in 1 eyeshadow (has primer within)Texture & Formula – Shade 1 is packed with shimmers that gives a metallic finish upon application. I really liked the texture, its smooth and light and shimmer doesn’t feel gritty at all. Formula is easy to apply and blend without turning patchy. I found it less thicker than Maybelline Color tattoo and closer to MAC Paintpot. The only thing I find a bit inconvenient is that it takes a long time to dry and set, that means you can’t really apply it on the go (contrary to claims). But then it gives more time for blending etc.
Pigmentation – Its not as pigmented as I expected it to be, I have to keep layering it on to get an opaque finish on my slightly pigmented eyelids. Due to its sheerness I don’t find it good enough to be worn alone, I would wear an eyeshadow over it
Staying Power – Once set it stays on whole say without smudging or creasing. I can see slight fading after 6 hours or so.
What I like
- Smooth creamy texture , glides on easily without being greasy or patchy
- Stays on for more than 10+ hours with minimum fading
- Packaging is not bulky and good for travelling
Areas of Improvement
- Availability, Its not easily available online and Deborah Milano doesn’t have their stores everywhere.
- Takes Long time to set.
- Pigmentation could have been better
- Bit over priced.
Overall Thoughts
I was expecting it to be as pigmented as Maybelline Color tattoo eyeshadows, since it costs higher than them. I really loved the texture and formula which is easy to blend and doesn’t turn patchy. Shade 1 is a beautiful wearable shade that will go with almost every outfit (color). It works as a nice eyeshadow base too and helps them to stay in place longer. Its a limited edition product so it wouldn’t be on shelves for long. I am not disappointed but then its not a must have in my eyes.
