ColourPop is the most talked about brand internationally. I have been seeing people talking about colourpop all over the internet. I wanted to get my hands on their products but unfortunately the brand wasn’t shipping to India earlier. I got couple of Colourpop Blushes through an instagram store. After looking at numerous swatches online I zeroed on ColourPop Prenup which is technically my first blush from this brand.
Packaging – ColourPop Prenup Super Shock Cheek comes in a round white plastic pot with a clear lid. The packaging is pretty basic but cute. Also the see-through lid is quite helpful when you have more of these blushes. The shade name and number is written on the back of the blush.
Shade – Prenup is a plum-pink, the kind of shade I like on me. I didn’t know that it has shimmers , that too quite visible. It has pink shimmers that give a highlighted look to the cheeks, so this product doubles up as a highlighter as well. The shade would be more suitable for fair to medium skin tone, as the light pink shimmer looks too frosty on me (NC42).
Texture & Formula – ColourPop Super Shock Cheek blushes are known for their mousse like texture. I thought it would be a powder product, but you press your fingers and it feels so airy, creamy almost like a mousse. Its not too creamy or slippery and quite easy to apply as well as blend. Use your fingers or a stippling brush to get the product on cheeks and blend.
The presence of shimmer is little annoying as I don’t prefer shimmery blushes that too light pink shimmer. However the shimmers present , don’t look OTT and look beautiful. I love how it imparts a lovely healthy sheen to the cheeks without looking too glittery.
Pigmentation – Shade is a bit light for my complexion, hence I needed to layer it up. The formula is sheer and would need layering if you want intense color.
Staying Power – It stays on for good 7+ hours on me.
ColourPop Prenup Super Shock Cheek is priced at $8 and can be purchased from Colourpop.com
Overall Thoughts
ColourPop Prenup Super Shock Cheek is a beautiful medium plum-pink which would look absolutely gorgeous on fair to medium complexions. On me it looks more like a frosted/pink toned highlighter. I loved the mousse like texture and how easily it blended. Lasting power is amazing too. I have another shade thames which i would be reviewing soon.
