Colour Pop Thames Super Shock Cheek Review Swatches Photos

I love blushes, after lipsticks thats one product I hoard like crazy. I have more than 20 blushes at the moment (which isn’t much considering how much other beauty bloggers keep). Colour Pop Super cheek blushes are so popular that I really wanted to get my hands on few of them. However due to shipping restrictions (4 months ago) I couldn’t order these and bought them through an Insta Store. I have Colour Pop Thames & Prenup. Today I will share my thoughts on Thames –

Packaging is pretty simple and justified for the price one pays for these. The white plastic round pot has a lid with a see through centre. Shade name is written on the bottom.

Shade – In swatches as well as in the pan Colour Pop Thames looked quite dark. But to my surprise on cheeks it comes off as a pretty plum pink color, which looks beautiful and quite natural. This shade should look good on NC 44 and below.

Texture & Formula – This one is a matte formula, and I am quite skeptical when it comes to matte textures. They tend to get really crumbly and dry, but fortunately this one is beautiful. The texture of Colour Pop Thames is smooth & buttery. These blushes are known for their mousse like texture, however I didn’t find it as mousse-y as Prenup. It was quite soft & blended easily.

Due to the intense deep color I used it with Real Techniques Stippling Brush, which is the best tool to use while applying dark cheek colours. The formula is easy to work with and doesn’t look patchy upon application.

Pigmentation – It isn’t as pigmented as I expected it to be, but that doesn’t mean it has poor pigmentation. To my surprise color looks quite light on swatching, and makes it a perfect everyday shade. The matte formula makes it blend into the skin seamlessly, imparting a healthy flushed look to one’s face.

Staying Power – Thames stays on for good 7+ hours on me, which is exceptional !

Overall Thoughts

If you love soft plum pink blushes and looking for a perfect everyday shade then this should be the one you should be going for. Colour Pop Thames is a matte formula with beautiful smooth texture. Staying power is great too.
