I love highlighting my contoured cheeks and highlighted cheekbones and this product compliments powder as well as cream blushes giving a nice edge to al over look.  Colorbar Radiant Glow Face Illuminator Pen  is one of the best affordable highlighters in India.

Shade – The shade of the highlighter is a stunning champagne rose with subtle golden undertones. It is one of the best highlighters I have and it will suit all skin tones giving a nice glow without looking over the top.

Packaging – The highlighter is packed in a pen style packaging with ‘click’ sound. You have to press the back button few times and the liquid highlighters dispenses out. It has soft bristles that help in application of the highlighter on cheek bones but I find it too big for brow bone. It looks sleek and classy and very much similar to YSl touch éclat illuminating pen.

Texture & Formula- The highlighter has slightly runny consistency and has to be shaken before dispensing the product. It has not chunky gold glitter or shimmer but sheen that imparts glow. It can be applied sheerly and further layered on. It blends perfectly with other products and doesn’t look patchy. But it dries quickly so has to be blended quickly. I like the way it imparts glow and highlights features of the face without looking made up.

It did not break me out . Also, it doesn’t clog pores neither accentuate them.

Pigmentation- The highlighter has runny consistency so one drop provides sheer glow which can be built up further.However,I feel that it looks best when applied sheer.

Staying Power – The illuminator stays for about 5-6 hours on my combination-oily skin after which the ‘glow effect’ gradually fades away.

Ease of Application – The most annoying part rather con of this illuminator pen is the packaging. Even after 8 to 10 clicks, little product comes out. It has to be applied and blended out quickly as it dries very fast else it look patchy and doesn’t look in harmony with other cheek products. It has bristles as applicator but I feel that direct application can make overall look patchy so the best way is to take out the product on finger and dot dot over the cheekbones followed by blending.

Overall Thoughts

Colorbar Radiant Glow Face Illuminator Pen is my HG highlighter for special occasions and I sometimes mix a drop of it with my matte foundation to get luminosity. I like the formula as it doesn’t have any shimmer or chunky glitter particles but sheen that imparts gorgeous glow. The only thing that annoys is the click style packaging.

I recommend this product to those looking for a subtle glow and reasonable price.
