I love using eyeshadow sticks. They are easy to use, they save time, are hassle free and you just need one or two of them to do a casual or complicated ye looks. They also serve multiple uses. Depending on the shade you can use them as just kajal or smudge them over your eye lids to give Smokey effect and if it’s a light shade, you can use them to highlight your brow bone or the inner corner of your eyes too. The Colorbar Ornament All Day Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick is one such colour.

Packaging – The eyeshadow stick comes in a metallic looking cardboard box, signature Colorbar packaging. The actual product comes in a retractable pen style packaging in black. You can twist it up for use and then twist it back down. The bottom of the pen has a color band so it is easy to the see the actual product shade. Also the coloured band actually comes out and is actually a sharpener which you can use to sharpen/shape the product. I like the packaging a lot. It’s easy to carry; you can dump it in your bag and be good to go.

Shade – Colorbar Ornament Eyeshadow Stick is a bronzy beige shade with shimmers. The bronze is not prominent, but it’s there. It is such a beautiful shade that it is impossible to capture its beauty in swatches. It’s a shade which will work well with Indian skin tones. You can use it as it is for an everyday casual look or use it as base for doing elaborate festive shimmery golden/beige/bronze looks. This shade also works great as inner corner and brow bone highlight.

Texture – It has a very smooth and creamy texture. But it is not as creamy as Colorbar Mulberry. It is easy to blend. But you need to blend immediately coz once it sets it doesn’t smudge or move or blend. It is definitely an added plus for me that it is smudge proof, coz I have oily lids and sometimes eye shadows transfer and make a mess of my eye look. Also it is very light weight on my eyes.

Pigmentation & Staying Power – This shade is not as pigmented as mulberry. But that is given, as it is a lighter shade. You need a few swipes to get the pigmentation. But once applied and blended, it sets and stays on for 8 – 9 hours easily. Though the shimmer does wear off after 8 hours. But 8 hours of wear time is definitely good enough. If you are using this as base for your eye shadow, it definitely increases the longevity of the shadow.

Overall Thoughts

Colorbar Ornament All Day Waterproof Eyeshadow stick is a hassle free, multi-use product which saves me a lot of time and also increases the wear time of my eyeshadows when I use it as base. The packaging and the texture is wonderful. The wear time it gives is almost all day. And the pigmentation is good enough after a few swipes. If there is one con I can find, it’s that it’s too steeply priced for the amount of product it has and also that it is not as creamy as the Mulberry one. Definitely recommend.
