Colorbar Nude It Lip Color Expose, Unveil Review Photos Price Swatches

So, I was looking for some nude lipstick shades the other day for everyday wear. And since it’s summer already, I don’t prefer applying darker shades during the day and mostly prefer nudes. I recently tried the Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks and wanted to give some other brand a shot. Apart from Maybelline, Colorbar is one such brand that has a great collection of lipsticks and I thought of trying some lipsticks out. I had tried the Colorbar Kissproof Lipsticks previously and quite like them. The Colorbar Nude It range caught my eye since I was looking for nude lipsticks and I picked up 2 shades from the range. I’ve been using these for 2 weeks and here are my views on these lipsticks.

Colorbar Nude It Lip Color Expose, Unveil Review Photos Price Swatches

Top shade: Unveil
Bottom shade: Expose

Shades:
The Colorbar Nude It contains 8 different shades and one would definitely find a perfect nude for their skin tone.

  1. Uncover
  2. Barefoot
  3. Undress
  4. Expose
  5. Stripped
  6. Masked
  7. Unveil
  8. Drape

I picked up the shades Expose and Unveil from the range since they seemed quite different and appealing. The shade Unveil is a milk chocolate brown nude that has brown undertones. Expose is also a brownish nude but has slightly orange undertones and doesn’t look completely brown on the lips. Unveil would flatter on all skin tones I believe, and Expose would suit light to medium skin tones.

Packaging: Colorbar Nude It Lip Color comes in a shiny rose gold cardboard box with all the details of the lipstick mentioned on it. The outer packaging looks quite classy and has the name and number of the shade written on it too. The lipstick however is silver in colour and has a magnetic cap.

Magnetic caps are quite easy to open and close the lipstick and doesn’t open on their own, which is a plus point. The only thing that I didn’t like is that neither the outer packaging nor the lipsticks are colour coded. One can easily get confused about the shades if they own more than one from the same range.

Formula: These lipsticks are definitely matte, but they do not make my lips dry whatsoever. I prefer matte lipsticks in bullet form rather than liquid lipsticks since the liquid ones tend to make my lips super dry. Since they contain vitamin E, jojoba oil and shea butter in them they don’t feel drying at all.

They provide a good coverage in one swipe and cover the pigmented areas of my lips. 2 coats are more than enough for a completely opaque finish. It doesn’t smudge much too once settled and transfers very slightly.

Fragrance: Colorbar Nude It lip color smells of chocolate and the fragrance is so yummy I feel like eating it up! It is very mild though and doesn’t bother me at all. I am quite allergic to lipsticks that have a strong perfume smell, but this fragrance is just amazing.

Price and quantity: So, these lipsticks retail for ₹750 for 4.2 g, which is okay. The quantity is huge and would last for a long time, so I don’t mind the price.

My overall experience:
I am actually quite happy with the purchase since they are good to wear on a daily basis and even for work. They do last for a good 5 hours if I don’t have any eatables and starts to fade from the centre afterwards, which is fair enough. Also, even though they are matte, they do not make my lips feel dry. Instead, my lips feel moisturised even after I remove the lipstick.

I do like wearing them and reach out to them when I want to wear a good long-lasting nude lipstick. The shade range is not the best to be honest since there are only 8 different shades, but you would definitely find a perfect shade for yourself.
