Colorbar Luminous Rose Luminous Rouge Blush Review Swatches Photos

Colorbar always comes up with new launches silently in their stores and website. I being Colorbar Fan and a makeup fanatic in general keep perusing the website and the store looking for new launches. I knew I was going to get this blush the minute I saw it even when my wallet cringed and cried at the price. So I got Colorbar Luminous Rose Luminous Rouge Blush a month or so back and I quite like it. So let me share my experience with it today.

Product Description – Unique Blusher with color that melt into each other for giving your cheeks a delicate glow or sculpting the cheekbones to create evenly & professional – Level look. A silky, impalpable texture that blends magically with the skin, creating an absolutely natural and even effect. Fine powders guarantee a velvety touch, while ultra-fine pigments ensure excellent colour yield and high blendability.

Packaging – Colorbar Luminous Rose Luminous Rouge Blush in the signature Colorbar packaging. Silver cardboard box with the Brand name and details in black. You can see the shade and the palette through the hole in the centre of the cardboard box. The actual blush comes in a sleek silver pan with a transparent plastic lid with the name of the brand on the lid. You can see the blush shade and pattern through the lid. The blush is pressed with three shades intertwining in a beautiful textured pattern. Looks so gorgeous. Love the packaging, its sleek and attractive. Wish it had a mirror though, but not a big issue. You can easily travel with it as it closes firmly and is quite sturdy. And it comes handy during travel coz it has three shades.

Shade – The Colorbar Luminous Rouge Blush in ‘Luminous Rose’ comes in pretty trio of intertwining pink. A light baby pink, a bright fuchsia type pink and a deep plum based pink. You can use the shades individually as three different shades of blush or swirl it in together for a new shade in itself. These shades will look so beautiful on any skin tones, but especially on Indian skin tones.

Texture, Finish & Fragrance – The blush is so soft and buttery to touch. The textured pattern of the blush is so beautiful that you hardly feel like using it. It is a very finely milled blush and it applies on the skin very smoothly without any patches. There is no fragrance as such. The blush has a velvety soft finish on the skin. The lightest shade has some shimmers in it, but not as prominent. It just adds a subtle and beautiful luminosity to the skin.

Pigmentation & Staying Power – This blush is highly pigmented. You just need to dip your blush gently the blush, tap off the excess and then use, otherwise it you might look like pink glazed clown. Even in the swatches I have just touched the three shades with my fingers and that is the pigmentation it gives in one swipe. The swatches do no justice to the shade and the pigmentation.

Seeing how pigmented Colorbar Luminous Rose blush is, it easily stays on the skin beautifully for 7-8 hours. After which it slowly stars fading. But it fades gradually and doesn’t leave a patchy residue on the skin. The lightest shade though if applied alone fades a bit earlier like in about 5 hours. But I usually combine all three shades and wear and so it does stay on for a long time with the shimmers in the lighter shade adding luminosity to my cheeks.

I am very happy with the pigmentation and staying power of this blush. At this price it is expected and it delivers.

Overall Thoughts

I would definitely recommend this blush to everyone. It is highly pigmented, it has a more than decent staying power, you get three shades of blush in one and also a fourth shade with the mix of all three shades, it also gives a luminosity to the skin without the obvious glitter hence perfect for day time. Just use it with a light hand and you are good to go. Colorbar Luminous Rose Luminous Rouge Blush is expensive, but worth it in my opinion for the amount of product and shade range. Will definitely suit all skin tones, especially Indian skin tones.
