Loose powder plays an important part in makeup. Once you start using it, you will never set the makeup with regular compact. The Colorbar Flawless Air Brush Finish Loose Powder is a recent launch by the brand. I was so happy to see an Indian brand finally coming up with a loose powder, but like always the shades are way too lights !
Packaging is pretty nice & sturdy. The plastic transparent round jar comes with a metallic lid. The powder has a sifterI really liked that the sifter is only on the half of the the lid, and the powder doesn’t come out easily. I have to tilt the jar upside down and tap on the back of the jar to get some powder off. Most of the loose powders have too much coming out of the sifter and causes spillage & mess.
Join hands with the revolutionary loose powder. Designed to be virtually invisible on your skin.
Our high-tech, light-reflecting Topaz Powder formula seemingly airbrushes away imperfections and creates a soft-focus luminous effect that looks professionally retouched. It’s insanely silky and feels like micro-fine cashmere veil on top of your skin .It’s free of oil, Paraben, alcohol, nano-ingrediants ,D5 & Fragrance
Shades – Sadly there are 3 shades available and none of them are geared towards darker skin tones. 3 shades are Beige Fair, Beige Classic & Rose Classic. I have Beige Classic which is again quite light, but works for me since the formula is translucent. But unfortunately it might looks too obvious on deeper complexions. I use it only on the underage area so it doesn’t look ashy or light on me.
Texture & Formula – The texture of Colorbar Flawless Air Brush Finish Loose Powder is smooth & Finely milled. I was skeptical initially because not all the indian brands get the idea of smooth powders, but colorbar has nailed it (well almost). Formula works best for setting under eye area, due to beige tint to it, it adds brightens to that area. Make sure not to go overboard otherwise you will end up with dry under eyes.
I use a wet sponge to set the powder under my eyes. It works better than Ben Nye Banana Powder for me and doesn’t cause flash backs in photos which ben nye does. I wouldn’t call it the best loose powder in terms of texture, but it is quite decent and works really well.
Kryolan Translucent Loose Powder has more of less same formula and better shade range but the packaging is bad and availability is another issue.
Colorbar Flawless Air Brush Finish Loose Powder is priced at Rs 875 for 12 gm
Overall Thoughts
If you are looking for a good loose powder and need a mess-proof packaging then Colorbar Flawless Air Brush Finish Loose Powder is a good choice. The brand is easily available online as well as offline. The price & shade range might pinch though.
