Colorbar launched some new makeup products last month , one of them were Colorbar Eyeshadow Palettes. The palettes are available in 3 colour themes. I have a lot of neutral palettes so these time I acted smartly and picked one with gorgeous fall appropriate shades. Colorbar Eyeshadow Palette Hook Me Up has some gorgeous warm toned shades and the palette itself is quite high quality.

From super-smooth mattes to shimmer-laced pink and red shades, this palette has something for EVERY color junkie. A palette that not only looks stunning, but is also well suited for a wedding trousseau. The shades in this palette melt perfectly into the skin to adapt every skin tone from cool skin tones to olive complexions to warm skin tones. These perfect shades feature a unique wet/dry formula for a custom & professional finish. Each shade in the palette has a velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability

The palette comes in glossy solid black plastic case which feels high quality. Quite sturdy and shuts with a click. There is a full size mirror inside and the whole feel is quite high end. Brand has increased prices and revamped the feel & look of few makeup products. There is no brush included in the palette.

Shades – The moment I saw the palette online I knew its going to be in my stash. warm red plum toned shades were perfect colder / fall season. I miss a black or dark brown shade though, for that I use my neutral eyeshadow palettes. You can create day time as well as intense party looks using it. First shade is a yellow toned white with golden shimmer. Next is a golden shade which isn’t very pigmented but good for inner corner highlights or to be used on top of a gold cream eyeshadow. Next is an orange followed by two pinks , one red & a pretty burgundy shade.

Texture & Formula  – There are 7 shades and all of them are shimmer/ metallic formulas. The darker shades in Colorbar Eyeshadow Palette Hook Me Up have a smooth formula. These blend nicely even without a primer. I Mostly use a concealer as a neutraliser on the eyes and then set it with a powder so that eyeshadows blend smoothly.

I didn’t observe fall out while working with these shades. The lighter pinks will need a solid base to pop, however the darker shades can work on neutral primers as well.

Colorbar Eyeshadow Palette Hook Me Up can be a good addition to your makeup stash if you have a lot of neutral eyeshadows. This can also be a great palette for bridal trousseau. Shades would suits a wide variety of skin tones including deeper.

Pigmentation – The pigmentation varies from shades to shades. Color payoff is decent, specially the darker two shades. First 2 are a bit sheer and need a solid base to show up. The first one can be a good brow bone highlighter shade.

Overall Thoughts

Colorbar Eyeshadow Palette Hook Me Up can be good addition to your makeup kit if you already own neutral or smokey eye shadows. The colors here compliment indian complexion. Price is slightly on higher side though.
