After lipsticks blushes are the second makeup product that I tend to hoard. I love a good flushed look, with natural looking blush. I am not a shimmery formula lover so keep it matte mostly. Plum & Mauves compliment my complexion the most so I generally stick with those shades. During one of my visits to Colorbar store I checked out Feel The Rain Collection and saw this gorgeous Colorbar Duo Affair Blusher which instantly reminded me of Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette though this one has blush instead of a bronzer. I loved the palette and shades inside and couldn’t stop myself from picking it.
The palette is gorgeous with rain drops embossed. The textured gold case feels good quality and holds a gorgeous full size mirror inside. I love such palettes and glad that an Indian brand came up with something like this. I have reviewed the Colorbar Matte Lipsticks from same collection on the blog.
Colorbar Feel the rain duo affair multi-dimentional duo unites two of the brand’s favorite formulae that is perfect to define and highlight cheeks like a pro. This wonder product consists of a Color Perfector as well as a Light Perfector. The Light Perfector gives Optical blurring effect while the Color Perfector ensures a smooth and even skin tone. This Duo is Paraben free, Mineral Oil free, D5 free, Nano-ingredient free and approved by EU, FDA & JP.
Shade – The blush looks almost marsala color on the website but in person it is more of a mauve dusty pink. The shade is perfect for all skin tones and I love such shades on me. On medium to deeper complexions such shades look absolutely natural as opposed to pinks & corals. The highlighter is a bronze pink almost rose gold looking. I wasn’t sure about it but upon application it looks gorgeous !
Texture & Formula – The blush in Colorbar Duo Affair Blusher palette is matte which is what I loved the most. I prefer matte formulas and add highlighter on the top or under it if I want to glow. The texture is smooth & it blends beautifully. Colorbar blushes have always impressed me with intense color payoff and amazing buttery smooth formulas.
The highlighter on the other hand is a full blown shimmery formula, but it doesn’t look chunky on the skin. I was skeptical before picking it so visited the store to swatch and see if I can handle the glow and it did look gorgeous on me. You have to see how much you want and blend it into the skin. Formula of both blush & highlighter is super soft & blendable.
You get a pan with total 18gm of product which is amazing and justifies the price too.
Pigmentation – Blush is quite pigmented and you should apply it with a light hand. I tried it for the first time and ended up with too much color on the cheeks. Thankfully it is easier to blend or tone it down as it doesn’t stick to the skin and blends quickly.
Staying Power – Good 6+ hours on me.
Colorbar Duo Affair Blusher is priced at Rs 1800 for 18 gm of product, available at Nykaa HERE
Overall Thoughts
I am quite happy with my purchase. Colorbar Duo Affair Blusher is a gorgeous palette and the color is gorgeous for medium to deeper complexions. The palette is sturdy and travel friendly and can be great collector’s item too.

One matte and one shimmery blush go well together. Such a naturally flushed look they give.
