Colorbar Deep Coco Deep Matte Lip Creme (Rs 675)
An ultra-silky, virtually “weightless” texture that unveils unexpected moussy finish with impeccable high pigmentation color for high coverage effect. These innovative combinations of ingredients give the formula special gliding consistency to coat lips with deep colors that have a matte, yet intensely bright effect.
I am not much of a liquid-licolor-lover, however for the sake of reviewing what has launched new, I pick up all kind of beauty/makeup stuff. I was seeing these Deep Matte Lip Cremes making rounds on various blogs, so I decided to pick one for me.
Packaging is very similar to Colorbar lip glosses. It comes with a long wand with a sponge tip applicator. However the packaging gets messy when you start using it.
Shade – Deep Coco is a brown with red tones. Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Creme is available in 10 shades and there are lots of neutral, pinks & reds to choose from. I am more of a neutral-lip person so picked Deep Coco, which looked closer to my lip color, however it doesn’t look good on me and makes my complexion dull. This shade can be a good choice for deeper complexions.
Texture & Formula – These matte lip creams have a thicker consistency. Applying it is easy since the formula is thicker and spreads evenly. Due to matte finish these can be worn during the day or to work comfortably. I find the formula quite moisturizing and it doesn’t turn completely matte on me. Initial finish is quite creamy and only after you eat or drink, the creaminess wears off and makes the formula slightly matte. I don’t see it settling in lip lines even after 4-5 hours.
Pigmentation – Colorbar Deep Coco is very pigmented and I don’t need layering. One stroke of color is good enough to get opaque coverage.
Staying Power – Colorbar Deep Coco Deep Matte Lip Creme stays on for good 4-5 hours on me. It settles into a stain-like finish after few hours of application. However it does keep on transferring throughout the wear-time
Overall Thoughts
Colorbar Deep Coco Deep Matte Lip Creme is a good choice for those who like super pigmented lip colors. The formula is nice and moisturizing and doesn’t dry out lips even after 3-5 hours. Range offers 10 shades with some nice bright pinks, reds and few neutrals. Only downside is that the color keeps on transferring throughout the time.
