You all know that I love the brand Colorbar. The quality of their products is mind blowing. They mostly have hits and a very few misses. Also the variety they have in their eye makeup and lip products is really awesome. Their range of products is versatile. If I have any complaints, it would be the hiking prices of the products, which is making it difficult to pick a lot of stuff. I love their velvet matte lipsticks a lot. Initially I did not pay much attention to the lip liners. But once I tried them, I am completely hooked to them. I picked quite a few of them. Today I will discuss about two of them – Colorbar Creamy Nude Rosy Red Definer Lip Liners

Packaging – Colorbar Definer Lip Liner comes in a silver cardboard box. A signature Colorbar packaging. The body of the lip liner is black with the name of the brand and shade engraved on it. The bottom of the liner has a color band which indicates the shade of the lip liner and the cap on top doubles up as a sharpener at the other end. The Colorbar lip liners are longer than regular liners and the sharpener on top makes them even more longer, which makes it a bit difficult to store but quite handy when you need to sharpen it.

Shade – The two shades I am reviewing are Creamy Nude and Rosy Red.

Colorbar Creamy Nude is the perfect peachy brown nude shade. It is perfect base for nude, peachy lipsticks. It also gives a great base for peach and orange shade lipsticks coz of the peachy undertone it. I personally wouldn’t wear it by itself as I don’t think I will be able to carry it off. But very fair skinned beauties can. Rest of us can use this one as a great base for many ranges of lipsticks. People with very thing lips and use this liner to cheat a little to make the lips more fuller/thicker.

Colorbar Rosy Red is more of a warm toned cherry red with orange undertones. It is a shade which can be worn by itself or can be paired with warm toned/orange toned red lipsticks. Either way it is a beautiful colour which instantly brightens up your face.

Texture & Finish – I love love love the texture of these lip liners from Colorbar. They are creamy, but not too much that they mess up and go everywhere. They finish matte but not too dry that your lips feel parched. They have this perfect balance between creamy and dry and do not tug on your lips when you apply. Even on the days I forget to apply lip balm beforehand they do not give me any hassles in application.

All the same very dry lipped ladies should moisturize their lips properly before applying these. It may not be as forgiving on them. The texture and formula of these lip liners are such that they give precise and uniform application. They do not smudge or bleed. Worn on their own, they have a matte finish but they work well with any kind of lipstick on top with any kind of finish.

Pigmentation & Staying power – Both the shades are quite opaque and show up quite well on the lips. The colour payoff is amazing so is the pigmentation. You don’t need to apply it multiple times. Once is enough to get an even and opaque finish.

Once applied it stays put and doesn’t smudge or bleed. The staying power of Colorbar Creamy Nude & Rosy Red lip liners is quite good, they stay on for 7-8 hours without budging and then gradually fade leaving a stain. Even when you eat or drink wearing they don’t fade that much.

Overall Thoughts

Colorbar Creamy Nude & Rosy Red Definer Lip liner are definitely their on my recommendation list. The shade range of these liners is amazing and these two shades fair quite well. The sharpener along with the liner makes it a handy tool while travelling.

And the colour payoff, pigmentation and staying power makes this worth it. So, if you are looking for a peachy nude or an orange toned red lip liners, go ahead and grab them. You won’t regret.
