I was very excited when Coco Soul was launched since all their products contain one of my favourite ingredients coconut oil. I was looking amongst their various products and the Coco Soul Face Scrub with Virgin Coconut Oil interested me. I was anyway looking for a good face scrub for my dry skin for this hot and humid weather and thought this would probably be the good time to try it out. It caught my eye because of its ingredients like virgin coconut oil, sandalwood and venivel. I’ve been using this scrub for about 3 weeks now and I’ll share with you today what I feel about it.
Product description:
This nature-inspired face scrub is like a gentle kiss on your skin. It works like a charm with its power ingredients comprising virgin coconut oil and Ayurvedic herbs and spices. It cleans gently to unclog pores and purge surface impurities and it leaves the skin soft and moisturized. With daily use‚ it helps in achieving a clearer, softer, and more even toned skin.
Packaging: It comes in a plastic tube that has a small nozzle and is covered by a cap. The packaging is not much fancy, but it doesn’t really bother me. The tube is see through so that is a plus point as I can know how much product I’ve used and how much is left. The cap also fits tightly so there’s no worry about the scrub leaking out of the tube.
Ingredients: The main ingredient of the Coco Soul Face Scrub is virgin coconut oil that moisturises skin and has antibacterial properties. Venivel helps in purifying, exfoliating and deeply cleaning the skin. Sandalwood is great for summers since it evens out the skin tone and control excess sebum.
This combination of the ingredients made me pick this scrub to see how they work on my skin in summers. Also, you’ll be surprised to know that the scrub is free from so many harmful ingredients like parabens, sulphates, phthalates, DEA, mineral oils, silicone, petrolatum, propylene glycol and formaldehydes, and is also cruelty free!
This is yet another reason why I picked this scrub over others since I’m assured that it doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients.
Formula and consistency: The Coco Soul Face Scrub is not much thick or thin and has a good consistency. Also, the exfoliating particles are not at all harsh on my skin or feel gritty. They are very fine, which is what I look forward to in a scrub. I don’t like scrubs that have large particles because it makes me feel like my skin will rip off. 
Colour: The colour of the scrub is cream but since it doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals, I’m assuming that it doesn’t consist of any artificial colours as well.
Fragrance: It smells so good of coconuts and sandalwood which is why I keep reaching out for it. The fragrance is not overpowering and is so good that I like using the scrub a lot!
Quantity and price: The scrub comes in 100gm quantity and costs ₹599 which I think is fair enough looking at the benefits the scrub comes with. Also, I need very little quantity for my entire face so I feel its going to last me for good 3-4 months.
My overall views:
I’ve been using this scrub thrice every week and it’s been almost 3 weeks of usage and my skin felt much better after each use. My skin looks brighter and feels softer every time I use it. It doesn’t dry out my skin and leaves it feeling so much clean and fresh. It moisturises my skin so well and doesn’t dry out my skin which is again what I like.
And since it contains all pure ingredients and no harsh chemicals it has become one of my favourites to use in this season. The price might be a concern to some of you, but the scrub comes with a decent quantity and you need only a pea-sized amount so it would last for a long time. Overall, I like using the scrub so much and I will continue using it throughout this hot weather.
