Having tried Revlon, L’oreal, MUA, Lakme lip crayons, I was curious to try out the Clinique ones as I like this kind of packaging.

About the Product: ‘Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Sixteen natural-looking lip tints in all, each with a subtle sheen.’

Shade- Clinique Pudgy Peony is a gorgeous bright cool toned pink .It looks more fuchsia on lips. The shade is sans any shimmer.

Packaging- Clinique Pudgy Peony Chubby Stick has similar packaging like other brands having a chubby retractable pencil having the same shade as the shade of the lip colour and metallic silver cap. It is easy to store, convenient to travel with and very easy to apply.

Texture & Formula- The texture of the chubby is smooth and very hydrating. It glides on easily and I feel that my lips become softer and supple. It gives a healthy sheen to lips that I really like. The formula is light weight, very comfortable. It is non-sticky and doesn’t accentuate dry flaky lips. It gives a balm-like feel to lips as it contains Shea butter, Jojoba seed oil. Clinique Pudgy Peony Chubby Stick is absolutely fragrance free and doesn’t settle in the lip lines. Also, unlike the MUA Power Pout which just melts and breaks, these chubby sticks are able to withstand hot climate.

Pigmentation- Clinique Pudgy Peony Chubby Stick provides sheer wash of deep pink on first application but buildable to full coverage with 2 more layers. It is a great shade for a natural look which can be intensified for a bolder look hiding pigmented areas of the lips.

Staying Power- When worn as a sheer wash of shade, pudgy peony stays for about 1-1.5 hours but when worn as a full on bright shades, it stays for about 3 hours leaving a mild pink stain on lips. Clinique Pudgy Peony fades evenly and doesn’t dry out my lips.

Overall Thoughts

I love the lip crayon packaging and the formula of Clinique Pudgy Peony Chubby Stick is an added boon. I like the shade which can b used lightly as well as for a bolder look. It brightens up my face. The glossy finish, light weight formula, comfortable texture and hydrating properties of the chubby stick make it worth a try. The price tag is high other than this, these chubby sticks are highly recommended.
