Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Roomiest Rose Review

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Roomiest Rose ($16 / 1050 INR) for 3 gm.Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Roomiest Rose Review (1)Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Roomiest Rose Review (2)Clinique at times has made me very happy. But when they came up with these chubby sticks, I swatched them and found them lacking because of their sheerness. So, when the “intense” range came out, I was super pleased, and purchased Roomiest Rose immediately, thanks to my obsession with everything to do with “rose”. The crayon like package got to me, I must say.

Clinique describes Chubby Stick Intense as “Tempt lips with a soft cushion of colour that’s not quite sheer, not quite opaque-just the perfect happy medium. Loaded with mango and shea butters so lips feel comfortably soft and smooth. Eight vibrant shades in all.”

Packaging: A thick crayon like pack that looks more like a marker than a lipstick. It is easy to carry, and I take it with me everywhere. If you twist the bottom, the product comes out, and there is no need to sharpen the thick stick (Thank God!).Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Roomiest Rose Review (3)Texture & Formula  : As the product claims, the finish of this one is somewhere between sheer and opaque, bordering more towards the opacity. I have seen that it completely covers the one beauty spot I have on my lower lip. The hand swatch I took was one swipe, and it is the same on my lips as well. One swipe will give you enough color, and it glides on very easily. I love the smoothness of the product, and have almost no smell. It is, thus, perfect for girls who have sensitive nose. The color is also quite buildable, and two swipes give a more intense color, which also results in a stain that’s pretty attractive.Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Roomiest Rose Review (5)

Shade : The color is a beautiful shade of rose pink, with very subtle shimmers, which is definitely not frosty. Unlike most other shimmery shades, the shimmers do not settle on my lip lines. Instead, they add to the color’s beauty and give it a gorgeous edge that I love. I find myself reaching for this color over and over again thanks to the way it goes with my skin tone. I am absolutely sure that this color will look good on most women under NC 47, and it is definitely a shade you can wear both full-on or as a stain. It does not hydrate my lips all too much, but it’s not drying as well, so I don’t mind wearing it full-on. It does bleed slightly, but does not flake or highlight my lip’s many flaws.

Staying Power : On me, Roomiest Rose stays for 5-6 hours. That’s a long time. Today, I wore it around 2.00 p.m., and it stayed on me till I ate, which was around 6.30-7.00 p.m. During this time, it did fade a bit, but did not dehydrate my lips at all. It did transfer though. I must say, I reapplied another lipstick after my meal, and my lips felt dry. Maybe they wanted my chubby stick back?Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Roomiest Rose Review (6)

Beautiful shade. I have never tried such kind of shade “Rose pink”. Main thing is that it is easy to carry as well as it lasts for a good period of time over the lips. I would definitely give it a try.
