I may not be skincare freak but I do pick random skincare from brands available here and one such brand is undoubtedly CLINIQUE.  CLINIQUE is pioneer in skincare as long as we remember but again I would repeat due to new rules and regulations their prices have sour to new height. Anyhow, let’s see what is the product am talking about!

I’m here with tClinique After Sun Rescue Balm which you can easily make out is meant to cure after sun effects. I picked this on special recommendation of my friend who knows my skin very well and trust me, aside from the price tag there is no con for this awesome product.

My skin type – I have combination to oily skin with oily T zone and dry cheeks and my skin is sensitive to sun. Every time I step out there is handy umbrella and still when I come home I can feel that my skin turns little red. Earlier I use to wash my face with cold water and apply a clay mask but that was tedious job and when my friend recommended me this I immediately picked it and it is such a relief to use this.

How do I use it – When I step inside after sun exposure, I just take a big chunk of this in my palms and apply generously on my face, it gets absorbs nicely and leave behind a cooling sensation behind. I never feel my skin looks or feel oily as this is more airy formula. The balm instantly calms down my skin and I could feel there is some cooling effect which calms down my irritated skin.

Texture & Formula – As it is a balm the texture is quite thick and not like a runny lotion, it is cream based but very airy and light when applied. The light minty green balm takes few minutes to absorb but doesn’t leave my skin oily or sticky. The product is especially good for sun burn or any redness you get from direct sunlight.

Packaging – Clinique After Sun Rescue Balm comes in mint green box and the tube is bright sunny yellow with flip top cap, it is very easy to carry but is bulky as you can see. The product shown here is full size although I guess they have smaller packing as well – if am not mistaken.

Overall Thoughts

I’m really impressed with Clinique After Sun Rescue Balm and will definitely finish this off, the product is really nice and effective plus it does its job really well. But, having said that, I really feel the price is little too steep for this and any inexpensive dupe suggestion is welcome!
