As a professional makeup artist, I am always on the hunt for loose powders in every brand. After trying Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, I felt it wasn’t working too great on deeper skin tones and finally found the Cinema Secret Ultraluscent Setting Powder in 2-3 different shades.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:

Shade – The one I chose is Rich ginger which has a beautiful orange tone in it. I have also used it to correct the darkness on forehead and around the mouth and it works perfectly.
Texture – Cinema Secret Ultraluscent Setting Powder has a very finely milled texture and is super soft. Since it is a loose powder, you need very little for each use so one tub will surely last a year.
Packaging – It comes in a transparent plastic tub with a sifter provided inside to prevent the powder from flying. I use a large powder brush to swirl it on the sifter and apply.
Staying Power – I use it to set the foundation and keeps the base oil free and fresh for 4-5 hours easily. Because of the packaging, it is not easy to carry it outside but I wouldn’t mind transferring it into any small container. The quantity and quality you get for the price is just amazing.

Cinema Secrets products are not easily available and that’s the biggest issue. Their products are fantastic and worth the price.

Cinema Secrets Ultraluscent Setting Powder is an amazing product that does not make the face look heavy, is so soft and light weight and the shade range is another plus point.
