When it comes to skincare, I think Chanel makes awesome products that many of us do not explore. I am reviewing a product today that I would put under the skincare category as it has done wonders for me. Its Chanel Base Lumiere Illuminating Makeup Base.
A fresh, oil-free makeup base that evens out skin tone and illuminates the complexion. The hydrating gel formula minimizes the appearance of imperfections with a beautifully smooth finish that extends foundation wear, hour after hour.
How To Apply – Apply BASE LUMIÈRE to desired areas in a downward sweeping motion, starting from the center of the face. Use fingertips, Foundation Brush #6, Blending Foundation Brush #7 or a sponge for application.
Packaging – Chanel Base Lumiere Illuminating Makeup Base comes in a classy chanel white and black bottle which is very travel friendly. The nozzle is perfect and doesn’t dispense too much product.
Texture & Consistency – It has a super smooth texture. It is neither runny nor thick creamy. It is a mix of cream and gel in terms of consistency. It gets absorbed quickly and leaves the skin well moisturized and soft. I have seen my skin improve each time I use this. I am done with mattifying primers as my skin is more on the drier side now and not many primers are suitable for dry skin as they contain silicone.
It extends the staying power of the base makeup for sure and keeps face fresh and supple for a long time. It says illuminating primer but I don’t see any illuminating particles in it. But the glow it gives is for sure great.

Overall Thoughts:
It is hands down the best primer I have used and I swear by it. I wouldn’t mind repurchasing Chanel Base Lumiere Illuminating Makeup Base every 6 months.
