Importance of Sunscreen in  skincare routine is something I realized real late. I never used it during my teen years and hence got severe tan on face & body, which took a pretty long time to go away/ lighten. Well I never skip sunscreen now and make sure to apply it even when I am indoors, but on the days when I have to prepare my skin for long hours outdoors I use a broad spectrum sunscreen which can protect from both UVA & UVB rays.

Then finding right sunscreen is a treasure hunt, I detest ones that leave a white cast or feel sticky/ greasy. So if a sunscreen has “Gel” “Fluid” “Oil Free” “Non Greasy” written on it, It’s bound to make me jump with joy.

I have been trying out Cetaphil Daylong Ultra-light GELFLUID for almost 2 weeks now and its time to review it. Cetaphil is a brand that needs no introduction, people with sensitive skin around the world, trust their skincare products and I have personally used Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion and loved it.

Daylong sunscreen products are specially developed for all-around protection: photostable UV filters offer highly effective UVA and UVB protection, and nurturing ingredients mean long-lasting care for the skin.

The Product

True to its name Cetaphil Daylong Ultra-light GELFLUID has a fluid consistency. The tube has a nozzle which is perfect for such a runny product. Fluid has a pale color and non-greasy texture. I need a coin size amount for my face and neck. Product is light-weight and spreads easily, I was quite elated to see that it doesn’t leave any white caste. Also it does moisturise face without feeling heavy. Since the formula is oil free & Non – comedogenic, its perfect for acne-pimple prone or troubled skin, like mine.

It does smell like regular sunscreen, which is quite mild and wouldn’t trouble sensitive people. I make sure to apply sunscreen half an hour before I head out , and you should also follow the same process. The product doesn’t mattifies the skin so girls with oily skin would need a compact powder or mattifying product on the top of it.

If you have acne prone or trouble skin, Cetaphil Daylong Ultra-light GELFLUID is perfect for you. It doesn’t break out and has oil-free, non-comedogenic, non-greasy formula which makes it perfect for all skin types.
