I have dry acne prone skin which is one of the rarest combinations I have ever come across. I constantly struggle with maintaining a balance. I can’t layer up too much moisturiser or else it ends up breaking me out. When the weather was transitioning from winters to summers, I started observing dry patches on my skin. My skin started getting drier than ever and I had to look out for a moisturiser that can handle my fickle skin. I saw Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion on Nykaa and decided to buy it since I have already tried Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion in past and quite liked it. however the formula of the lotion is more suitable for oily skin.
Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion comes in a tube with flip top. Formula is High tolerance, fragrance-free non-sensitizing and non-comedogenic formulation, suitable for dry to very dry sensitive skin.
My skin becomes dry during winters but in summers it leans more towards normal/ combi. I have been using this lotion for almost 3 weeks now and it works really well under La Roche Posay Anthelios XL 50 Sunscreen which is quite mattifying and highlights dry patches if skin isn’t moisturised properly.
The lotion has a light weight water based texture to it, which is easy to apply and blend into the skin. It feels slightly sticky when applied so one has to adjust the quantity according to their skin’s needs. I use half a pea size amount which is more than enough for my face and neck. It doesn’t feel greasy but my skin stays touchably smooth & soft throughout the day with no need of reapplication.
I have sensitive skin and Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion has never broken it out. But I might stop using it during summers and resume in winters. The lotion is perfect for those who live in colder countries/ climates.
