Epilators used to scare me until I tried Braun Silk Epil 7. Thats what I use all the time to get rid of body and facial hair. I find epilating at home much more convenient, cost effective and hygienic. I hardly get time to visit beauty parlour and waxing is something I don’t enjoy much because of time issues. With Braun Silk Epil 9 I can do it in the comfort of my home, watching TV or taking a long relaxing shower.

New Braun Silk Epil 9 has a lot more to offer. Specially 40% wider epilation head. If I compare it to Silk Epil 7 it surely is bigger and covers much more area on the skin. I don’t really have to go over multiple times as the head is quite wide and covers larger area. Also the MicroGrip Tweezer technology allows you to get rid of hair in one stroke, even if they are as short as 0.5mm , which is amazing !

The epilator head is pivotal and smoothly works on body contours. It makes epilation are around knee & elbow quick. Also the design is such that the smart light on the epilator lightens up the area and you can’t miss even a single hair. It is convenient while removing body hair but not much comfortable when you are removing facial hair.

The protective cap for body/ facial hair is really good. Specially when you are trying to focus on smaller areas. I use it to get rid of my upper lip hair which grow out quite quickly and look gross for sure.
I don’t epilate under arm hair and use the shaver head instead, which quickly removes hair without causing pain or cuts. One can also use it for body but I prefer epilation over shaving.

Another interesting thing is the Sonic Brush which is great of exfoliating. I use it before epilation to get rid of ingrown hair and dead skin cells, making epilation easy. However its not recommended for face, you can use Braun Face for that which is one of my favorite tool for facial hair removal & exfoliation.

Another good thing about Braun Silk Epil 9 is that it can be used both wet & dry. Charging it once ensures 45 minutes of usage easily. I love using it in shower for exfoliation purposes and the brush is quite efficient and buffs away dead skin cells without being scratchy or hard.

I have the Silk Epil 7. And while I like it, I would have preferred the Silk Epil 9. Who wouldn’t want to have hair free skin faster.
