It is very girly and the texture is just amazing.

Shade – Rose Neon is a gorgeous Barbie pink shade-a bubble-gum pink with slight blue undertones. I would not call it neon in the truest sense. Just that it is more brighter shade of light pink .It is devoid of any shimmer.Bourjois Rouge Editon Lipstick Rose Neon review swatches (3)Packaging – Rouge edition lipsticks come enclosed in a glossy black packaging with ‘Rouge Edition’ written in orange-red and hot pink. A shade indicator along with the shade number is at the bottom which helps in locating the lipstick easily.The packaging feels classy and is very sturdy.

Texture & Formula – I have always loved Bourjois lipstick texture and this one is the best they have come up with. It is creamy but not overly.The lipstick feels comfortable on lips even after 3-4 swipes but I feel that too much application leads to formation of slight lines if lips are pressed. It doesn’t settle in the lip lines.The formula is amazing and mositurisng. It doesn’t accentuate flaky skin neither dries out my lips after it wears off. I love the glossy finish and the way it makes my lips appear full.Bourjois Rouge Editon Lipstick Rose Neon review swatches (2)Pigmentation – The shade is decently pigmented .One swipe gives sheer colour to lips which can be built upto to medium to full colour.With 2 swipes you can easily achieve enough shade for covering pigmented lips.

 

Staying Power- Rose Neon stays for about 4-4 ½ hours on my lips leaving a very light baby pink tint.The creamy texture settles down to a matte finish which gradually fades leaving healthy pink lips.Bourjois Rouge Editon Lipstick Rose Neon review swatches (1)

Overall Thoughts

I am currently obsessed with this shade and the lipstick as the formula, shade, quality and packaging is top notch.Rose neon is such a shade that will brighten the face without becoming a ‘statement’ lipcolor. It is easy to apply and stays for decent amount of time.

I suggest keeping the eye look soft and cheeks flushed to compliment this shade.It is a true Barbie doll shade that will suit everybody but will look bright on fair skin and will show more blue undertones on dusky beauties.

My only grudge is the tremendous increase in the price tag from being Rs 775 to Rs 995.
